摘要： A bottle adapter is disclosed for accurate squirt dispensing of a drink. The bottle adapter comprises a coupler for removable attachment to a squeezable bottle. The coupler has a valve that is configured to remain closed until a predefined pressure difference is present across the valve, so that when the valve is opened, the liquid inside the container emerges in a stream and maintains a substantially straight trajectory for at least a predefined distance. A targeting orifice is positioned at the predefined distance from the valve so that the stream trajectory extends through the targeting orifice.

摘要： A self-sealing valve is provided for fluid dispensing packages and the like, of the type which are compressed and decompressed to dispense therefrom liquids, pastes, powders and other similar flowable materials. The valve has a marginal groove extending along one face thereof in a closed pattern to define a central area inside the groove, and an outer area outside the groove. Ribs extend between the center and outer areas of the valve to bridge the groove, and selectively support the center valve area in a trampoline-like fashion. A slit extends through the center valve area, and into at least a portion of the groove to form an orifice that shifts between outwardly open, closed, and inwardly open positions in response to compressing and decompressing the container.

摘要： A toothbrush having an elongated handle provided at one end with a head comprising a surface from which bristles project in the usual manner. Within and extending longitudinally of the handle is an elongated cartridge chamber terminating at the head end of the handle with an opening communicating at one end with the chamber and at its other end with the bristled surface. The cartridge chamber is adapted to receive therein an elongated, tubular, flattenable, dentifrice cartridge insertable through an opening at the end of the chamber remote from the head. A dispensing member slidable longitudinally of and within the chamber is engageable with the cartridge to flatten such cartridge progressively from the remote end of the handle toward the head end thereof, thereby dispensing the dentifrice into the bristles of the toothbrush through an elastomeric, tubular cartridge tip disposed in the opening in the toothbrush head and extending beyond the bristled surface. The dispensing tip is provided with a peripheral wall of nonuniform thickness in cross section, such peripheral wall being provided adjacent the terminus of the tip, and within the bristles of the toothbrush head, with a self-closing slit extending longitudinally of the tip. In one form, the peripheral wall of the tip, when viewed in cross section, comprises nonconcentric inner and outer substantially circular walls, the slit being formed in the thinnest portion of the peripheral wall to facilitate opening of the slit in response to the development of pressure in the dentifrice by the slide member. In another form, the peripheral wall of the tip has a substantially circular outer cross section and a laterally elongated inner cross section with the slit being formed in one of the thicker portions of the peripheral wall for the same purpose.

摘要： In a system comprising a container and a liquid contained therein that builds up a gas or vapor pressure, a sealing valve having a concave shaped portion and a slit extending through said portion, allows venting of the vapor from the container to the ambient at a predetermined vapor threshold pressure. The vapor threshold pressure at which the slit opens for venting can be adjusted by valve restraining means which are preferably formed by a protrusion at the inside of a cap covering the sealing valve. The vapor threshold pressure at which venting takes place, can to a large extent be adjusted without affecting the dispensing characteristics of the valve.

摘要： A dispensing container has a spout formed of opposing walls of supple, imperforate material joined along their side edges with at least a portion thereof being formed over a curved surface. The aforementioned portion of the spout is thus set in a curled condition in the direction of discharge with the walls in face-to-face contact to effect a valving action. The spout can include a metering chamber to permit a desired quantity of fluid contents to be separated and milked through the curled portion to the discharge end of the spout. If desired, the entire dispensing container can be similarly formed over a curved surface so that the empty end of the container opposite the spout will also assume a curled conformation as the container's contents are discharged through the spout.

The co-injected valve is fabricated via a two-step injection molding process. A plate member is attached to the nozzle. The nozzle has a nozzle hole communicated with the cutaway portion. The plate member has an engagement cancellation portion where the plate member can be disengaged from the nozzle in a direction which is directed not to the nozzle but to the container body. In the container, even when an abnormal state of a certain extent occurs, such as when the container body falls, a liquid in the container does not leak out and a liquid which has not been completely ejected and remains in a midway portion can be automatically returned into the container body.
