    • A dispensing container is disclosed which includes a fiber tube, a bottom end closure, and a top end closure which is self-locking on the fiber tube. The self-locking top end closure includes an annular skirt portion which is received in the tube and a cantilever fin which projects radially outwardly from the skirt portion. The fin is molded in a normal radially outwardly extending position and is rotatable about its fixed end into an adjacent recess in the skirt portion for permitting straight line axial removal of the top end closure from its mold. When the top end closure is assembled on the fiber tube, the fin is rotatable about its fixed end in the other direction from its normal position and is wedged between the skirt portion and the fiber tube to hold the top end closure on the fiber tube. A mold for making the top end closure is also disclosed which permits removal of the top end closure from the mold by straight line axial movement without requiring relative radial movement of portions of the mold.

    • A demountable packing box of the present invention comprises a main body, an upper cover located at the upper portion of the main body, a lower cover located at the lower portion of the main body, and a plurality of connecting bands respectively connected to the upper cover and the lower cover. The main body is a flat plate with two connecting portions at opposite sides thereof after disassembled. A pair of fixing parts matable with each other is respectively disposed at the two connecting portions of the main body. The upper cover is a flat plate with a predetermined shape. A plurality of upper tabs respectively extends outwards from the periphery of the upper over. The lower cover is a flat plate with a shape corresponding to the upper cover. A plurality of lower tabs extends outwards from the periphery of the lower cover. The upper portion of the main body is provided with a plurality of upper positioning parts corresponding to the upper tabs of the upper cover. The lower portion of the main body is provided with a plurality of lower positioning parts corresponding to the lower tabs of the lower cover.

    • A paperboard tubular carton has circular end closures or lids engaged within both ends of its tubular wall. The lids are removably engaged in identations between laterally spaced pairs of projections disposed a short distance within the ends of the walls. The projections and indentations are provided in a slotted extension band of the tubular wall folded and attached within the ends. The portions of the band coextensive with the slots bow inwardly to provide the indentations which receive the lid. Inclined score lines in the band at the ends of the slots help concentrate the inward bowing in the vicinity of the slots. Additional strength and security are provided by stapling a pair of diametrically opposite tabs from the lids within the edges of the tubular walls. Positioning of the tabs and staples on the lines, at which the tube is folded flat before assembly, holds the creased parts round. A small perforated section around one tab is separated by the purchaser to make the remainder of the lid removable from the bowed indentations about a hinge provided by the other tab. Holes in the small section of the lid facilitate separation of the lid sections and carrying. Tapering of the tube facilitates stack nesting of the cartons on top of each other.
