    • A top head set securing device includes a C-shaped pressing member connected to a lower end of a ring portion of a handlebar stem which clamps on a steerer tube extending through a head tube. Two lugs extend from two ends of the C-shaped pressing member for a bolt extending through the two lugs to securely clamp on the steerer tube. The pressing member has a tapered inner periphery which is mounted onto a tapered outer periphery of a pressing ring which is mounted to the steerer tube and rests on a top head set on a head tube. The pressing ring exerts a downward force to the head set when tightening the pressing member.

    • A handlebar stem structure includes a tube having two connection members and two extensions are movably connected to the two connection members. Each of the two extensions has two connection ports. An outer layer is coated to the tube and the connection members, wherein the connection ports extend from the outer layer and a first recess is defined in the outer layer. A retaining member is connected to the two connection ports and a second recess is defined in an inside of the retaining member. The first recess and the second recess are matched to form a passage for receiving a handlebar.

    • An integral rider control device mountable to a handlebar steered vehicle. The control device includes an integral support structure having a left end for receiving a left handgrip and a right end for receiving a right handgrip. A central section is disposed between the left end and the right end. A plurality of non-tubular receptacles are formed in the integral support structure between the left end and the right end thereof. Each of the receptacles are configured to receive a respective piece of equipment. The equipment may include controls, displays or accessories. A connecting member is molded into the central section and outwardly extends from the central section. The connecting member pivotally couples the integral support structure to the vehicle along a steering axis of the vehicle.

    • A liquid pressure type steering damper system for generating a damping force for preventing a handle from being swung due to a kick-back upon a disturbance wherein the generation of the damping force is nonlinear so that the steering angle would not be enlarged so much even if the kick-back becomes greater. A liquid pressure type steering damper is provided with a restriction passage for a working liquid and a solenoid-type control valve for varying the passage sectional area of the restriction passage. A needle portion is formed at the tip end of a plunger constituting the solenoid valve and is made to advance and retract in a restriction portion connected to a bypass passage. An annular gap passage is formed between the needle portion and the inside wall of the restriction portion so that, when the needle portion advances or retracts in proportion to the steering speed of a front wheel steering system, the clearance area of the gap passage is varied in the manner of a quadric curve in relation to the stroke amount of the needle portion, whereby the generation of the damping force is rapidly increased in the manner of a quadric curve. In addition, an upper limit of the damping force is restricted by an electromagnetic force of the solenoid valve.

    • A head set assembly for bicycles includes a bearing set with balls received between an upper race and a lower race which is connected to an end of a head tube of a bicycle. The upper race has an annular inclined surface and an annular vertical inside. A pressing ring has an inclined outer surface for being engaged with the annular inclined surface of the upper race, and a flange extending from the inclined outer surface. The flange of the pressing ring is matched with the annular vertical inside of the upper race. The flange is mounted to a steerer tube extending through the head tube. A dust cap is connected onto a top of the pressing ring and a skirt of the dust cap encloses the lower race of the bearing set.
