摘要： A dispensing bag for particulate matter is closed at one end by a two layer closure formed by an openable outer closure, and an inner dispersion panel with apertures of suitable size therethrough. Opening the outer closure exposes the apertures in the dispersion panel and permits particulate matter to be dispensed therethrough. The bags may be conveniently mass produced from sheet material, such as flexible plastic, in the form of a continuous strip or flattened tube, by appropriate cutting, folding, and joining operations. The invention provides an inexpensive container from which particulate matter may be conveniently dispensed in controlled fashion, and which resists accidental opening and spillage.

摘要： A collapsible container having at least two opposed flexible walls, an opening through which liquid can be removed, and a flange around the opening. The inner surface of each of the two sidewalls and the internal surface of the spout flange preferably have depressions and raised areas between the depressions. Typically, the depressions are not continuous and the raised areas are continuous. The depressions of one wall or flange cooperate with the depressions on the opposed wall to form liquid flow pathways when the wall or flange contacts the opposed wall. The liquid flow pathways allow liquid to pass therethrough instead of being blocked by the contact between a wall or flange and the opposed wall. A method of use and a method of making the bag are also disclosed.

摘要： A device for pulling open continuously cross-conveyed tube sections for the purpose of forming bottoms in the manufacture of sacks has support tubes provided in pairs and connected to vacuum sources by lines. Each of the support tubes forms the coupler of two parallel connecting rods housed in a machine frame so as to rotate and is equipped with a row of radial suction units. A crank is connected to a shaft of a parallel connecting rod. A crank pin, supporting a slide ring or a roll, slides in a radial guide attached to a shaft. The shaft of the guide is offset relative to the parallel connecting rod shaft such that an essentially translational movement corresponding to the conveyance speed is superimposed on the opening movement of the row of suction units. In order to achieve a better opening of the tube section ends even at higher conveyance speeds, the radial guide is formed in a curved shape such that the time of uniform motion of the suction units and the tube section is lengthened.

摘要： A flat bottom plastic film bag includes triangular gusset portions formed by a plurality of parallel heat welds which fuse portions of opposed pleats together and cooperate with a transverse central bottom seam to form a flat bottom bag from a seamed or seamless plastic film tube. The longitudinal side and end walls of the bag are provided with heat embossed corrugations which enhance the freestanding characteristics of the bag and a transverse crease is formed along the fold line between the sidewalls of the bag and the bottom wall to enhance the bottom forming characteristics of the bag when it is snapped from a folded position to an opened position. The bag may be made by an improved process wherein a blown film tube is continuously slit sealed into a plurality of tubes which are reinflated, then collapsed to form opposed double pleat folds, followed by corrugation of the side and end walls of the tube, formation of the transverse crease defining the fold line between the bottom and sidewalls and, finally, formation of the gusset welds, the transverse bottom seal and perforation or cutoff to form the individual bags.

摘要： A method of and apparatus for making printed gusset bags from tubular bag material, which may be extruded film plastic with integral interlocking fastener profiles along the edges of panels of the material which have been collapsed into face-to-face relation, and in which each of the panels will provide a succession of separate finished bags, comprising the step of and means for imprinting on each of the panels indicia on bag wall areas and on a gusset area intermediate the wall areas, the step of and means for manipulating the imprinted bag material from the originally collapsed condition to fold the wall areas of each of the panels together into face-to-face relation and to infold the gusset area of each of said panels into position between the folded bag wall areas of each of the panels, and the step of and means for separating the gusseted panels into individual gusset bags. When filled, the bags will present to view not only the indicia on the bag walls, but also the indicia on the expanded gusset area of each of the bags.
