摘要： On-site pressing of field poles for a hydroelectric generator is provided. A field pole may be placed on a press cart and press bars may be placed on top of the field pole. The press cart is moved along a track to transport the field pole to a pressing unit. Hydraulic cylinders in the pressing unit press the field pole and the press bars between the cart and a top plate of the pressing unit to straighten the field pole.

摘要： Provided is a system and method of making a door having first and second door skins and an internal frame. The top and bottom surfaces of the frame are coated with an adhesive and the frame is placed on a first door skin. The second door skin is then placed on the opposite surface of the frame. The assembled components are then pressed to bond the first and second door skins to the frame with a press having upper and lower dies configured to impart a larger compression force toward a central area of the door skins. Wear resistant belts or membranes are provided to protect the door skins from being marred by the upper and lower dies during the pressing process.

According to certain aspects of the disclosure, the device may include a frame, a feed bin, a first compression chamber, a second compression chamber, and a compression mechanism. The feed bin may be configured to accommodate the compressible material. The first compression chamber and the second compression chamber may be mounted to the frame so as to be rotatable about a substantially horizontal axis between a compression position and a transfer position. The compression mechanism may be configured to load the compressible material from the feed bin into a respective one of the first or second compression chambers in the compression position and compress the compressible material into the bale within the respective compression chamber.

摘要： A method for fabricating a rigid lamination. The method includes providing a first rigid substrate, disposing an adhesive on a surface of the first rigid substrate and disposing a second rigid substrate on at least a portion of the adhesive. The second rigid substrate has a first end and a second end. The second rigid substrate is heated to a substantially uniform temperature, where the temperature is sufficient to melt the adhesive. A non-uniform pressure is applied to a surface of the second rigid substrate. The non-uniform pressure includes a lesser pressure and a greater pressure, where the greater pressure is applied at the first end of the second rigid substrate and is sufficient to impart adhesive flow in a direction toward the second end. The pressure is controllably increased along at least a portion of the surface between the first end and the second end, where the increase is controlled to drive the adhesive flow in the direction toward the second end until the pressure applied is substantially uniform across the surface and the adhesive between the first rigid substrate and the second rigid substrate is substantially free of entrained gas bubbles. The adhesive is cooled to form a rigid lamination having adhesive substantially free of entrained gas bubbles.
