    • A waste containment apparatus fits within, the same physical envelope as a typical 6 cubic yard bin. The apparatus has lifting fittings to permit conventional lifting and dumping by a garbage truck. The bin has, internally, a compactor including a motor and a compaction head driven by the motor. The unit has a single point power connection. The working mechanical assemblies and the electrical control unit are mounted well above the inlet chute. The inlet chute is a front or rear access chute, such that the lifting height of the inlet chute is significantly lower than the top opening level of the bin generally. The unit has an internal refuse flow accumulation path, and internal members such as deflector plates oriented to urge the refuse to fill and compact more evenly than otherwise. The unit may have a liquid drain and collection sump. The sump may have a sump heater.

    • System and methods for piling and compressing pieces of insulation wool. The system includes a piling tower for receiving and piling multiple pieces of insulation wool and compression plates for compressing multiple pieces of insulation wool. The system includes a first and a second compression plate having plane and smooth upper and lower surfaces, whereby the compression plate can be slid out from between two compressed pieces of insulation wool. The compression plates receive a batch between the compression plates and compress the batch by moving one compression plate towards the other. The pressure on the insulation wool does not need to be relieved after the pieces have been compressed once as the system and method makes it possible to gradually increase compression toward the bottom of the piling tower by shifting between the first and second compression plate being used for compressing a batch of pieces of insulation wool.

A pelletizing press of this method for producing pellets enables the formation of a dispersion chamber that, by means of at least one lateral wall, is as compact and sealed as possible relative to the prior art. At least two lateral wall parts are arranged to form a lateral wall; at least the first lateral wall part is arranged to be movable in relation to the second lateral wall part for carrying out a relative movement.

    • A mushroom compost compacting system and method includes a roller assembly mounted to a compost receptacle to form a nip, and a web or conveyor to convey mushroom compost to the nip. Mushroom compost is compacted at the nip from an initial compost height to a final compost height. The roller assembly has a roller, a shaft, and fixtures coupled to each end of the shaft. The fixtures are adjustable to define the roller nip height. In one embodiment, the fixtures are mounted to sleeves that engage the sidewalls of the compost receptacle. In another embodiment, the ends of the fixtures are mounted to a support, which may be a joist or a separate channel extending under the floor portion of the compost receptacle, or which may be a post that forms support structure for the compost receptacle.
