    • A non-tilt mixer comprises a drum supported on and reversely rotatable about its horizontal axis (for mixing and then discharge) by means of pneumatically-tired wheels. The drum comprises a cylindrical center section and conical end sections and has an inlet opening at one end and a discharge opening at its other end. The drum is provided on its interior with a plurality of flat mixer blades secured to the inside of the cylindrical center section and with a plurality of curved or scoop-like discharge blades secured to the inside of the conical section at the discharge end of the drum. Each discharge blade extends between and partially overlaps an adjacent pair of mixer blades. Each discharge blade defines a scoop or chute which is operable when the drum rotates in the discharge direction to discharge through the discharge opening of the drum. The discharge blades are arranged and connected so that the several chutes converge and discharge at the center of the discharge opening.

    • A portable self-propelled concrete mixer vehicle. A frame assembly having parallel frame members supports a platform and a mixing barrel which extends forwardly beyond the periphery of the frame assembly. An engine and counterweight are mounted rearwardly of the barrel and on the platform so as to provide a counterbalancing force whereby the mixer can easily be tilted to unload the barrel. The engine further supplies a power source for rotating the mixing barrel and for selectively driving the mixer vehicle. A pair of ground engaging drive wheels are adapted for unidirectional rotation to prevent accidental reverse movement of the mixer vehicle. The mixing barrel has plural blades defining irregularly shaped openings with the barrel wall and are designed to mix the materials to a uniform consistency.

    • A mixing apparatus for dry or wet ingredients is disclosed, which comprises an upwardly inclined trackway, and a mixing container mounted for rolling movement along the trackway. The trackway includes a scale at the lower end which permits the container and its contents to be weighed, and so that predetermined amounts of a number of ingredients may be loaded into the container. A power system is provided for pulling the container upwardly along the trackway, and such that the container is subjected to a rotary motion for mixing the ingredients, and a simultaneous linear transport to an elevated position. The container includes unique internal mixing vanes which facilitate mixing of the ingredients during rotation of the container, and which also permit substantially all of the mixed ingredients to be freely discharged by gravity at the elevated discharge location.
