    • A toy vehicle ramp has a resiliently flexible sheet panel and a pair of stiffer support members. Each support member has a plurality of support points formed thereon arranged to define a channel in which a lateral edge portion of the sheet panel is slidingly received for height adjustment of the panel in the supports and thus of the ramp. One or more elastic members extend between the support members and beneath the sheet panel to hold the ramp together. The flexible sheet panel collapses and the band(s) stretch when a load heavier than an ordinary remote control toy vehicle is applied so that a child cannot jump from or ride over the ramp and so that the ramp can collapse without damage to its components for reassembly and reuse.

    • The invention relates to a toy vehicle having steerable wheels, to a steering mechanism for such a vehicle, and to a steering module incorporated in the steering mechanism. The steering module includes a coil having a first end and a second end with a central axis extending between the first and second ends thereof, a bar disposed adjacent the first end of the coil and mounted along a substantially linear axis generally perpendicular to the central axis of the coil. The coil and the bar are mounted to be moveable relative to each other. The bar includes first and second magnets mounted on the bar along the substantially linear axis. The first and second magnets each include a north pole and a south pole, with the north pole of the first magnet facing the first end of the coil and the south pole of the second magnet facing the first end of the coil. The steering mechanism is compact in size with few parts. Further, the steering module is adaptable for use with toy cars of very small size, and the module can be installed at a variety of positions on the toy vehicle.

    • A wireless toy playset. The playset includes a small size vehicle that moves about a track. Movement of the vehicle is controlled by a wireless transmitter. At the discretion of a parent or end user the transmitter can either be structurally coupled to the track or physically separated from the track. By way of example, the transmitter may be docked into a docking station of the track. Structurally coupling the wireless transmitter to the track reduces the likelihood of separation, and possibly misplacement, of the transmitter from the playset. For example, when the playset is operated by a small child it may be desirable to structurally couple the wireless transmitter to the track to prevent the child from removing and losing the transmitter.     • A model railroad train control system for supplying power to at least one DCC two-rail operated train engine and/or at least one AC three-rail operated train engine. The train control system used for operating the engines simultaneously and independently on the same railroad track or separate train section blocks making up the track. The control system includes one or more current limited voltage source modules connected to the track for providing modulated voltage to each engine. Each module has two identical channels composed of power transistors for a left track power output and two identical channels composed of power transistors for a right track power output. The outputs rapidly switch, alternately, between ground potential (zero volts) and as high as 48 volts. The transistors provide a return current path for the DCC two-rail engine and the AC three-rail engine. The power transistors are individually current limited and have a response time in a range of 1 to 5 microseconds. The fast response time means trains with shorting wheelsets will not cause excessive current from the power supply, since the average current is very low. The action of the current is limited in one phase and does not effect the operation of the other phase.
