    • In an assembly for filling medicine dispensers (11) with administering units (12/i) which are to be taken daily by patients, a deblistering apparatus (39) is provided for the separating, automatic removal of the medicines from the respective blister pack, the blister film (33) of which can be subjected to a notching or cutting pretreatment, only after which the medicine is removed. A transport device (18) is provided which supplies the medicine dispensers (11) to a feeding device, at which the individual medicines can be loaded into receiving compartments (14/1 to 14/4) of the medicine dispenser (11). The assembly comprises modules (17/i) which have in each case a blister shaft (62), a punching device and a feeding device and are arranged along the transport device (18) at spacings from one another which correspond to the spacing of the receiving compartments (14/i) of the dispensers (11/i) or to an integral multiple of said spacing.

    • An apparatus for dispensing paper towels of predetermined length includes a housing, a supply roll of a continuous paper web, means for advancing the paper web outside the case, means for at least partially cutting the paper web protruding from the case, and a motor for driving both such means. The motor is an electric d.c. motor which is rotated in a first direction until a paper web of predetermined length is advanced outside the case. The rotation is then reversed so that the paper advancement is stopped and the paper web is out. A first unidirectional coupling means is arranged between the motor and the advancing means and a second unidirectional coupling means is arranged between the motor and the cutting means to selectively actuate either of the advancing or cutting means according to the rotational direction of the motor. The length of the dispensed towel is an integer multiple of an elementary length and the number of elementary lengths by which the paper web is advanced before being but is selected by properly setting a number of switches.

    • A cut-off mechanism is provided in a dispenser for dispensing a web of paper towel from a supply roll thereof, the cut-off mechanism including a flat cam member fixedly secured to the dispenser feed roller for rotation therewith and a drive member having a generally cylindrical portion cooperating with the cam member to form a chamber for a spiral coiled spring secured between the drive member and the dispenser feed roller so that rotation of the latter with respect to the former during dispensing of the web winds the spring. The drive member is connected by linkage to a movable cutting blade and is also provided with a stop surface which is engageable with a latch member normally to hold the movable blade motionless during winding of the spring. The cam member engages the latch to release the drive member after a predetermined length of web has been dispensed to drive the cutting member, by unwinding of the wound spring, into cooperation with a fixed blade substantially to sever the dispensed web from the supply roll. A cam portion on the drive member engages the latch member to release the cam member after the cutting operation.

    • An apparatus for adjusting the frequency of an oscillating element provided with a hair sp extracts an oscillating signal from the oscillating element which is oscillated by the elastic force of the hair spring. High frequency pulses are counted by a counter during a predetermined period of the oscillation signal. On the other hand, further high frequency pulses are counted by another counter. When the count value of the latter counter coincides with that of the former counter, the input pulses to the latter counter are stopped by the coincidence output. Until the coincidence between the count values of both the counters is established, the hair spring is transported to adjust the length thereof. Thereafter, the unnecessary hair spring is cut away. Since this apparatus detects an appropriate length of the hair spring by electronic circuitry, it is small in size, and the unnecessary length of hair spring is automatically cut away.
