    • The present invention concerns a coupling (1) including a first part (2) and a second part (3), where the first part (2) includes a housing (4) in which is arranged a displaceable locking ring (8) with locking means (9), where the locking ring (8) in a known way is arranged for receiving and fixing a projecting part (5) of the second part (3) which is complementary to the locking ring (8), where the housing (4) in an internal cylindric surface is provided with an annular recess (11) which is arranged for accommodating the locking means (9), and where the locking ring (8) is connected with a spring-biased locking unit (17) which is arranged for moving and locking the locking ring (8) in at least two positions in the housing (4), and where the locking unit (17) includes an insert (18) which at one end is connected to the locking ring (8), and which at an opposite end is provided with a number of series of continuing, oblique teeth (23), the insert (18) having internal and external, respectively, axial projections (24, 25), a guide ring (19) surrounding the insert (18) and having internally a design which is complementary to the axial projections (25), and being provided with a number of sets of oblique teeth (26) disposed between the external projections (25), and a rotor (20) provided at one end with a number of radial teeth (28) and which at an opposite end provided with a number of stops (29) that interact with the internal projections (24), the rotor (20) seated internally in the insert (18) so that the teeth (28) interact with the oblique teeth (23, 26).

    • A securement member (13-18) has a relatively rigid foot (4-25) adapted to be secured on a first member (1) and prolonged by a body (5-19) provided in at least one region of its side surface with protuberant elastic hooking formations (7-20), and a seat (8-23) provided in the second member (2) whose internal side wall (9-24') has a shape of revolution, and adapted to receive with friction the body (5-19) and the hooking formations (7-20). The securement member (3-18) and the seat (8) comprise a mutual unlocking assembly (13-22, 24) permitting, by movement of rotation between the securement member (3-18) and the seat (8-23), effecting the escape of the hooking formations from the side wall of the seat. The invention is particularly applicable to devices for securing an appliance housing on a wall.

    • A tow hitch system comprising a tow bar to be secured to a towing and to a towed vehicle. the towing vehicle includes spaced openings adjacent to the point where the tow bar is secured. There is an anchor point on the tow bar. A chain received at the anchor point. Safety catches at each end of the chain engage the spaced openings. Each safety catch comprises a central limb to be received in an opening. Side limbs extend from each end of the central limb to contact opposed sides of an area of the towing vehicle adjacent the point where the tow bar is secured to maintain the catch in position. The system is easy to make and very easy to use yet safe in use.

    • A separable fastener is provided, consisting of a male member with a stem portion and a T-shaped head portion, and a female member in the shape of an elongated body having a tail portion and a forward portion that is bent with respect to the tail portion. The body has an opening adjacent the bent portion, the opening of sufficient length to permit insertion of one arm of the T-shaped head portion of the male member. The bent forward portion of the female member terminates at an edge which interferes with complete passage of the T-shaped head portion through the opening in any but one particular orientation of the male member with respect to the female member. The edge has an indentation which is adapted to receive the T-shaped head portion when the male member is in that particular orientation, thus permitting the avoidance of interference and a complete passage of the T-shaped head portion through the opening. The opening also has a part wide enough to permit swivelling of the stem portion of the male member after passage of the T-shaped head portion through the opening. A sleeve member is mounted on the female member for sliding movement along the elongated body, so that the sleeve member can inhibit the male member from assuming the "release" orientation by lodging between the female member and one of the arms of the male member.
