摘要： A connecting device for fuel injection systems is used for connecting a fuel injection valve to a fuel-carrying component. A wire-shaped connecting element is provided in this context, which is fastened, on the one hand, to the fuel-carrying component and, on the other hand, to the fuel injection valve. The wire-shaped connecting element is embodied closed in an annular manner, and, on the one hand, is guided about a shoulder of the fuel-carrying component and, on the other hand, about a shoulder of the fuel injection valve. A fuel injection system having such a connecting device is also provided.

The clip includes at least one connector leg which extends at least partially over the electrical connector for the fuel injector and locks the clip against rotation relative to the fuel injector electrical connector. A protrusion on a fuel cup arm engages a notch formed in the fuel cup to lock the arm against rotation relative to the fuel cup.

A clip extends through slots in the fuel rail cap and engages the fuel rail to support the fuel rail within the fuel rail cap. The fuel rail cap includes a groove adjoining the slots to accept a portion of the clip. The clip engages a shoulder on the fuel injector assembly. The shoulder may be on the injector body or on an adapter secured to the injector body.

The first locating feature and the second locating feature are spaced relative to one another such that the unitary component will connect to the quick connect fitting assembly with both of the locating features contacting predetermined locations of the quick connect fitting assembly only if a male fitting is inserted into a female fitting to a predetermined position, the unitary component thus ensuring proper connection of the quick connect fitting assembly. A method of assembly using the cap is also provided.
