摘要： A method of operating cooking appliance includes receiving, by a controller of the cooking appliance, an input indicating a time of a cooking operation. The method also includes activating a motor to rotate a turntable within a cooking cavity defined in a casing of the cooking appliance throughout the time of the cooking operation and activating a microwave module to deliver microwave energy into the cooking cavity during at least a portion of the rotation of the turntable. The method further includes varying at least one of a speed of the rotation of the turntable and a duty cycle of the microwave module during the cooking operation.

摘要： A household microwave appliance operates with multiple parameter configurations to treat food to be cooked in a locally differing manner. The microwave appliance determines in an initial scan with a thermal imaging sensor directed into the cooking chamber a temperature distributions on a surface of the food to be cooked. Change patterns are obtained from differences between different temperature distributions. An evaluation value is calculated for a best heating pattern that brings the current temperature distribution closest to a target temperature distribution determined based on a normalized target state and a current temperature distribution, whereafter microwave power is applied to the food to be cooked with the parameter configuration associated with the best heating pattern.

摘要： A cooking appliance includes a cabinet that defines a cooking chamber. A magnetron is mounted within the cabinet and is in communication with the cooking chamber to direct a microwave thereto. An induction heating coil is mounted within the cabinet and is in communication with the cooking chamber to direct a magnetic field thereto. A turntable rotatably mounted in the cooking chamber at a center of the turntable. A motor is operatively coupled to the turntable and is mounted within the cabinet outside of the cooking chamber and adjacent to the induction heating coil. The motor is offset from the center of the turntable, as a result of the offset the motor is positioned outside of the magnetic field from the induction heating coil.

摘要： A multi-mode microwave heating device includes a heating chamber, a plurality of microwave transmitters, a plurality of longitudinal-polarized rectangular waveguides, a plurality of transverse-polarized rectangular waveguides, and a plurality of half-wave-rectified power supplies. The heating chamber has a holder for holding a to-be-heated object. The holder is connected to a rotating and an elevating mechanism. The microwave transmitters are connected to the heating chamber through the longitudinal-polarized rectangular waveguides as well as connected to the transverse-polarized rectangular waveguides for transmitting microwaves into the heating chamber and to excite multiple cavity modes of the heating chamber, so as to achieve uniform microwave heating. An industrial three-phase alternating current (AC) power source offers multi-phased electricity to the half-wave-rectified power supplies, by which the microwave transmitters are powered, such that the multiple modes are decoupled and uniform microwave heating are achieved.

摘要： An apparatus for heating a semiconductor wafer includes: a microwave source; an applicator cavity; and, a fixture for supporting a wafer in the cavity. The fixture comprises a dielectric mechanical support for the wafer and a grounded metallic ring movably positioned parallel to and concentric with the wafer at some distance from the wafer, to adjust the microwave power distribution to compensate for edge effects. A closed-loop feedback system adjusts the distance based on wafer edge and center temperatures. A method for heating a semiconductor wafer comprises: a. placing the wafer in a microwave cavity; b. supporting the wafer on a fixture comprising a dielectric wafer support and a grounded metallic ring movably positioned at some distance from the wafer; c. introducing microwave power into the cavity to heat the wafer; and d. adjusting the distance between wafer and ring to modify the power distribution near the wafer edge.
