摘要： An image transferring apparatus for transmitting image data to a file server has an image input unit allowing input of image as the image data, a memory section for storing the image data, and registration and transmission information of the image data, and a communication controller for transmitting the image data stored in the memory section to the file server. The communication controller has a judgment unit for making a judgment based on the registration and transmission information of the image data as to whether communication condition of the image data is normal or not. The communication controller transmits a request for deleting the image data to the file server in a case where the judgment is made that the communication condition is not normal during transmission of the image data stored in the memory section to the file server.

摘要： A digital copying apparatus having an image data memory and an automatic document feeder (ADF). The digital copying apparatus reads an image of an original document placed on a document platen and generates image data to be stored in the memory. When a copy sheet jam occurs during operation of an image forming section, it is determined whether or not the uncopied image data which have been generated but have not yet been copied are stored in the memory based on the detection of discharge of copy sheets from the apparatus. When all uncopied image data are stored in the memory, the copy operation is restarted using the image data stored in the memory. When all uncopied image data are not stored in the memory, the original document is discharged from a document transport path of the ADF to a discharge tray and the number of original documents to be returned to a feed tray is displayed on a display.

摘要： Documents, such as bank checks, are processed at a high rate of speed on an image processing system which optically scans the documents and converts optically perceptible data on the documents into video image data. The video image data from the scanner is compressed by data compression techniques and the compressed data is sent over a high speed data channel to a high speed mass storage device which receives and temporarily stores the data. A lower speed mass data storage device, such as an optical disk, is connected for receiving at a lower data transfer rate the compressed video image data and for storing the video image data for subsequent retrieval. The system also includes real-time quality control systems for monitoring the quality of the image data to detect the existence of unacceptable image quality data and for generating a signal which can be used for immediately stopping the generation of unacceptable quality image data.
