摘要： An image forming apparatus includes a transport unit that transports a continuous medium; an image forming unit that forms an image on a surface of the medium; a pasting unit that pastes a protection member to the surface of the medium on which the image has been formed; an inspection unit disposed downstream of the image forming unit in a direction in which the medium is transported, the inspection unit inspecting whether the image is defective; a cutting unit disposed downstream of the inspection unit in the direction, the cutting unit being capable of performing an operation of forming a cut in the protection member and the medium so as to surround the image; and a controller that controls the cutting unit so that the cutting unit does not perform the operation of forming a cut in the protection member and the medium if the image is defective.

The scanning-printing integrated machine of the invention can not only achieve printing and cashing of the lottery tickets, but also detect the integrality of the printed contents.

摘要： An image recording apparatus in which a photosensitive material is rewound into a magazine while maintaining a predetermined disposition. Prior to rewinding of the photosensitive material, a distance between concave portions of guide members which constitute a guide portion is set to be substantially equal to the photosensitive material width and a nipping state between a pair of pulling-out rollers is cancelled. Because the nipping state is cancelled, the photosensitive material can be displaced in a width direction. Therefore, the photosensitive material can be rewound into the magazine while maintaining the predetermined disposition, and any skew is corrected by the concave portions of the guide members.

摘要： An image scanning reading and recording apparatus delivers an original bearing an image to a reading position, scans the original with a first light beam to read the image to produce image information, processes the image information according to prescribed image recording conditions to produce an image signal, modulates a second light beam with the image signal to produce a halftone dot signal, and applies the halftone dot signal to a photo-sensitive medium to record the image thereon. An original feeding mechanism is coupled to the image scanning reading and recording apparatus. The image scanning reading and recording apparatus includes a control unit connectable to an additional memory for storing image recording conditions for originals stored in the original feeding mechanism. The orginal feeding mechanism successively feeds the originals to the image scanning reading and recording apparatus, and identifies the originals as they are fed. The contol unit selects those of the image recording conditions stored in the additional memory which correspond to the orginal identified by the identifying means and records the image on the photosensitive medium according to the selected image recording conditions.

摘要： An input/output or reading/recording device includes an optical reader and a thermal recorder which are both fixedly mounted on a head unit integrally as spaced apart from each other, with the optical reader upstream of the recorder. A feed roller, which is driven to rotate, is pressed against the head unit and it is positioned to be pressed against the optical reader during a reading mode and against the recorder during a recording mode. Depending on the current mode of operation, an original document to be read or a recording medium to be recorded is passed between the head unit and the feed roller. Since the optical reader is located upstream of the recorder, when the device is operating in the recording mode, the optical reader can be activated at least partly to monitor the recording medium during the recording mode of operation.
