摘要： A circuit attenuates echo caused by line variations and a transformerless, high DC impedance, two-wire line interface. To reduce echo, a test tone is introduced on the communication line with all station units connected to the line. The resultant receive signal is conditioned through a peak detector, digitized and read by a processor. The resistive and capacitive characteristics of a network are iterated by the processor and the results remeasured. The network is set to the best combination for least echo by the processor. An interfacing system capacitively couples a plurality of sources to a two-wire communication pair by means of a plurality of differential voltage-to-current amplifiers. Each source uses a differential receiving amplifier to receive signals from the line and is resistively coupled in parallel to all the sourcing entities coupled to the communication line at that particular interface. There is an echo balance network associated with each source.

摘要： A business telephone system employs digital signal processing in a digital telephone having a serial link for connection to a general-purpose computer. The Smart Phone is the central intelligence for the system, which may utilize a PBX connected in a LAN network to multiple computers, including file servers, and each computer may have one or more Smart Phones connected. In one embodiment, docking bays in the phone provide an ability to interchange functional modules, including DSP modules. The docking bays and functional modules may be configured to PCMCIA standards. In another embodiment, a docking bay, which may also be PCMCIA, has a physical window allowing access to an input area on a docked module, wherein the docked module is an intelligent module with a CPU, a memory, and a bus structure, affording control of the smart phone and the entire system through the input interface of the docked module. In various embodiments the external form of the system may vary, and in one embodiment, the smart phone elements are integrated with a desktop or a portable computer having docking bays to receive and connect functional modules, such a DSP modules and/or an intelligent module.

Second control information is then supplied to a main control unit 10 by pushing the operation button of the key telephone set, and display of the button operation procedure and indication of a lamp or generation of the tone, which are similarly created as a function is actually executed, are carried out in the key telephone set under control of the main control unit 10. In other words, a user can easily master the button operation by falsely creating the state where the key telephone system is being used.

摘要： A telephone communication system for communicating between a plurality of exterior telephone lines and a single common in-house two wire line is comprised of a control unit for coupling to the plurality of exterior telephone lines and for controlling communication between the plurality of telephone lines and the common two wire line. A plurality of station units are coupled remotely throughout the building to the common two wire line. The control unit communicates on the digital channel with the plurality of station units in a time frame subdivided into a plurality of time slots. A specified portion of each time slot is reserved for control communication between the control unit and each one of the plurality of station units. A synchronization signal is transmitted for phase locking all the station units to the control unit clock and a common frame synchronization signal is used to align all units in time. Each remote telephone or adapter box has a unique number assigned to it by the setting of a manual switch. Each number corresponds to a slot in a time frame. Thereafter all control signaling to a specific station unit occurs in a particular time slot.

摘要： Allowing a shared line appearance feature to be implemented on a plurality of telephone station sets which are connected to different telecommunication switching systems. The telecommunication switching systems can be interconnected to each other via the public telephone network utilizing standard telecommunication links. A software application program provides a termination point for a directory number that is associated with a shared line appearance. The software application program receives all incoming calls directed to the directory number and determines the operations that should be performed with respect to the telephone station sets terminating the shared line appearance. The software application program directs the incoming calls to the telephone stations sets regardless to which telecommunication system each of the telephone station sets is interconnected. An outgoing call from one of the telephone station sets is switched to the software application program which then switches the outgoing call to the destination telephone terminal as if the outgoing call had originated at the location of the software application program. With respect to the outgoing call, the software application program also transmits messages to the other telephone station sets terminating the shared line appearance, so that those telephone station sets can indicate that the shared line appearance is busy.

The system includes a console including a plurality of line keys each associated with a party that can be reached via a switched trunk line. A look-up table means associates the line keys with the telephone numbers of the associated parties. A communication path is established from the console to one of the trunk lines. Signals are sent to the central office via the selected trunk line corresponding to the telephone number in the look-up table means associated with a line key that is actuated to place a calls. The telephone number of incoming calls are determined and compared with telephone numbers in the look-up table. Thereafter the line keys which are associated with the incoming calls are determined. The incoming call is coupled to the console when a line key associated with the incoming caller is actuated.
