摘要： A micro-electrical-mechanical system (MEMS) guided wave device includes a plurality of electrodes arranged below a piezoelectric layer (e.g., either embedded in a slow wave propagation layer or supported by a suspended portion of the piezoelectric layer) and configured for transduction of a lateral acoustic wave in the piezoelectric layer. The piezoelectric layer permits one or more additions or modifications to be made thereto, such as trimming (thinning) of selective areas, addition of loading materials, sandwiching of piezoelectric layer regions between electrodes to yield capacitive elements or non-linear elastic convolvers, addition of sensing materials, and addition of functional layers providing mixed domain signal processing utility.

摘要： A surface acoustic wave (SAW) device includes a SAW element disposed on a printed circuit. The printed circuit has an insulation substrate having input and output wiring conductors and input side and output side grounding conductors formed thereon. Interdigital transducers of the SAW element are connected to the input and output wiring conductors. The input side grounding conductors and the output side grounding conductors are disposed apart from each other with an isolation gap inbetween, thereby obtaining desirable filtering characteristics by suppressing undesirable coupling between input side and output side caused by a feed through electromagnetic wave.

摘要： A surface acoustic wave filter device in which a capacitative coupling means is provided to couple at least one of the terminals of the SAW input transducer to at least one of the terminals of the output transducer, in order to equalize the levels of signals which are induced on the pair of output terminals of said output transducer without assuming the form of surface acoustic waves. The stray inductive coupling which normally occurs between the input and output terminals of the SAW filter degrades filter performance. Since the inductive coupling to the two output terminals is normally unequal, the inductively coupled unfiltered signals cannot be completely rejected by a balanced differential amplifier. By equalizing the levels of unfiltered signals at the output terminal, effective rejection by a differential amplifier is possible.

Couplers of this kind comprise an input transducer and a number of output transducers disposed on a piezoelectric member in the path of the wave, and a number of conductive strips between the first transducer and the other transducers, so as to distribute among the output transducers the energy of the wave applied to the input transducer. According to the invention, the strips are obtained by conductivity induced by a beam of electrons which bombards the piezoelectric member or an electrically insulating member which covers member. The same device operates at various frequencies, the coupling ratios between the input transducer and the output transducers being adjustable. General application to high-frequency directional coupling.

摘要： An acoustic surface wave filter device for use in video IF stages in television receivers and the like, which comprises a substrate of a piezoelectric material and a spaced pair of transducers each of which is composed of a pair of interleaved comb type electrodes. One of the transducers is designed so as to have a frequency response curve in which attenuation poles at the both sides of the main lobe thereof, respectively, occur at frequencies corresponding to the upper adjacent-channel picture carrier frequency and the lower adjacent-channel sound carrier frequency. The other of the transducers is designed so as to have a frequency response curve in which the bandwidth thereof corresponds to the width from the sound carrier frequency of the associated channel to the lower adjacent-channel sound frequency. The substrate may be provided with a piezoelectric resonator. The substrate may be further provided with at least one ancillary transducing element. The acoustic surface wave filter device exhibits the desired overall response curve required for the video IF stages in television receivers and the like.
