摘要： A device is provided for aligning a ribbon cable relative to an electrical connector to crimp the electrical connector onto the ribbon cable with a tool. The device includes a side portion and a central piece. The side portion includes an upper end and a cable track having a width sized to receive the ribbon cable. The central piece is coupled to the side portion and includes an upper surface. The upper surface of the central piece and the upper end of the side portion at least partially define a connector retaining segment sized to receive the electrical connector.

摘要： A pressure adaptive contact structure for a flexible circuit board is disclosed, in which the flexible circuit board is provided with a weakening portion or a partly surrounding weakening portion between a plurality of first contact pads so that contact surfaces of the plurality of first contact pads are respectively contactable with corresponding ones of contact points to generate contact pressing forces applied to the contact points in a manner that the contact pressing forces are adaptively adjustable by the weakening portion to accommodate height differences between adjacent ones of the first contact pads to prevent the first contact pads from being stretched and pulled with respect to each other.

摘要： A method is provided for connecting a terminal fitting and a flat conductor to achieve a high contact pressure between the terminal fitting and a conductive path. A FFC (10) has an insulation sheet (12) adjacent the end stripped to expose a conductor (11). The FFC (10) is inserted between first and second squeezing plates (22, 23) of a terminal fitting (20). Complimentary recessed/projected portions (32, 33) are formed on the outer surfaces of a pair of upper and lower press dies (30, 31) for pressing the terminal fitting (20). The terminal fitting (20) is pressed by the press dies (30, 31). Thus, the FFC 10 and the terminal fitting (20) are pressed together into a single unit and the squeezing plates (22, 23) are formed into a zigzag configuration.

摘要： A connector has a connector housing, a plurality of terminals, an assisting means, and a support means. The connector housing can be received in a connector receiving recess having a first wall fitted with a plurality of terminal connecting short strips. The connector housing has a plurality of terminal accommodating chambers with at least an opening communicating with the first wall side of the connector receiving recess. Furthermore, each terminal has a wire connection portion and an elastic contact piece extending from the wire connection portion. The elastic contact piece is defined by folding back a forward part of the terminal toward the wire connection portion. The folded-back portion has a contact portion formed in the middle thereof to contact the terminal connecting short strip through the opening. A plurality of terminals are inserted into the terminal accommodating chambers of the connector housing. Meanwhile, the assisting means can resiliently abut against a second wall opposing to the first wall in respect of the connector receiving recess, which urges additionally the elastic contact piece against the terminal connecting short strip. The support means engages with the assisting means to hold it.
