    • A multi-contact data module for a connection matrix having an input channel and a plurality of output channels, said data module comprising at least one switching body means defining a hollow internal cavity, contact pins for establishing electrical connections to the input channel and the plurality of output channels of the connection matrix, said contact pins extending into said hollow internal cavity of said switching body means. Movable contact means are disposed within said hollow internal cavity of said switching body means for cooperation with the contact pins, said movable contact means, when actuated, effecting electrical connections with said contact pins. A single actuator means is provided for each switching body means which is common to all the movable contact means thereof intended to be actuated, such single actuator means comprising a separate plug member means totally separatable from, but removably insertable into, said hollow internal cavity of said switching body means, said plug member means including actuating means for selective ones of said movable contact means. This separate, removably insertable plug member means, when inserted into said hollow internal cavity of said switching body means, serving to deflect selective ones of said contact means against the associated contact pins, whereby a given data distribution mode is effected. There is also provided programing template means having a respective cut-out for each plug member means substantially conforming to the cross-sectional shape of said actuating means on each of said plug members means, whereby said programing template means provides storage of a plurality of data distribution modes.

    • A multicontact data feeder is disclosed, the data feeder being utilized with a connection matrix having an input channel and a plurality of output channels. The data feeder comprises a switching body means having a hollow internal cavity; fixed contact pins for electrical connections to the input channel and the plurality of output channels of the connection matrix, said fixed contact pins extending into said hollow internal cavity of said switching body means; spring contact means disposed within said hollow internal cavity of said switching body means for each of said fixed contact pins, said spring contact means, when actuated, effecting electrical connections between said fixed contact pins; plug member means adapted to be inserted into said hollow internal cavity of said switch body means, said plug member means including cam means for selective ones of said spring contact means, said plug member means, when inserted into said hollow internal cavity of said switching body means serving to deflect selective ones of said spring contact means against the associated fixed contact pins, whereby a given data distribution mode is effected.

    • A rotating cam member incrementally moves through a discrete plurality of angular positions to sequentially actuate in a predetermined pattern an array of switches controlling, for example, the operation cycles of a domestic appliance such as an automatic dishwasher or clothes washer. The rotating cam member is driven from one angular position to the next by a motor under the control of a programmable integrated circuit timer determining the dwell time of the cam member at each of its angular positions. Varying the dwell time of the cam member at each of its angular positions readily permits a more flexible and complex operating cycle sequence for the appliance being controlled as compared to prior art electromechanical timer devices.

    • A plastic program card includes a plurality of projecting rows of plastic each having notches at selected locations. It is driven through a program unit having a different push-button switch aligned with each row of the card to be actuated by the notches therein to control different functions of the thermoforming machine. The temperature of the sheet of plastic, the positions of the moving parts of the thermoforming machine, and the position of the plastic being formed are sensed by other devices within the thermoforming machine and these devices control further operations of the machine and control the driving of the plastic program card through the program unit.
