    • The timepiece comprises means for indicating the sunrise and sunset taking account of seasonal variations. These means comprise a sphere reproducing the terrestrial globe, a shell arranged concentrically to the sphere and arranged to demarcate one portion of the terrestrial globe where it is night from another portion where it is day by indicating the position of the Earth's terminator. The shell can pivot about the globe on two axes perpendicular to each other. The shell is driven by the movement so as to rotate at a rate of one revolution per 24 hours about the polar axis. A disconnecting mechanism is controlled by an annual cam which has a profile representative of the tilt of the Sun with respect to the equatorial plane. The disconnecting mechanism controls the tilt of the shell about the axis by means of a drive shaft concentric to the polar axis.

    • The globe-shaped clock for a city square includes a base for placement on a select public location in a town or city. The base includes a plurality of pointer rods radiating in both major and minor geographic directions. A spherical cage is mounted to the base, and the cage surrounds a rotating globe therein. The cage is topped by a clock spire having a frustoconical base and a plurality of major and minor pointer rods radiating towards both major and minor geographic directions. A plurality of illuminated, curved, longitude lines defines the spherical cage. The longitude lines illuminate sequentially in varying intensity depending on the time of day. An electronic control unit is provided to define the pattern of illumination. A plurality of display units surrounds the base in line with each longitude line and displays different time zones.

    • World Clock comprising: a hollow, translucent sphere with graphics on its surface representing the world's land masses, an opaque half sphere nested within the translucent sphere, an enclosure positioned directly below the sphere, the enclosure housing an electronic clock mechanism and associated LED display, a microprocessor and associated electronics, a gear reduced motor and a vertically oriented tube extending from the base of the enclosure through the top of said enclosure and terminating in a light bulb socket and associated light bulb located at the center of the sphere. The external surface of the sphere has a plurality of push button type switches located at major cities. When the user presses a switch, the clock display shows the current time in that city. The opaque hemisphere turns once every twenty four hours so that part of the world is in dark and part in light as defined by the time in a particular part of the world. A crescent shaped arm located outside the sphere can be swung by the user and the clock display will show the time along the longitudinal axis closest to the arm. In this way a person can know the current time in any part of the world and can realistically see the light and dark conditions of any part of the world

    • A sundial comprising a transparent hollow globe marked with latitude and longitude lines and including a map of the world is mounted on a stationary base. The globe is adjustable with respect to the base to enable the polar axis to be inclined toward a geographic pole of the earth and to permit alignment of a desired geographic location on the map with an index point.
