    • The present invention relates to an AC or DC power transmission system. The system comprises a first electrical conductor, a second electrical conductor and an insulating space there between. The system further comprises an electric field measurement device comprising the following components being mounted in optical continuation: a first optical fiber being connected to a light source, a first optical lens, a circular polarization filter, a crystal rod having electro-optical properties, a linear polarization filter, a second optical lens, and a second optical fiber being connected to a light detection unit. The electric field measurement device is located adjacent the first electrical conductor and defines a first minimum distance between the crystal rod and the first electrical conductor and a second minimum distance between the crystal rod and the second electrical conductor. The second minimum distance is at least 10 times larger than the first minimum distance.

    • A device for measuring an electromagnetic field and the temperature in an analysis zone includes a light source for sending a light beam into a polarization-maintaining optical fiber. The light beam is directed along one axis of the fiber. An anisotropic electrooptic material is placed in the zone for receiving the beam from optical fiber and for sending the beam into the fiber. The device further includes an arrangement for analyzing the intensity of the linear wave and a mechanism for determining the variations in the orientation of the linear wave output by phase-shifting means. A quarter-wave plate is inserted between the optical fiber and the crystal, wherein the plate has its axes oriented at substantially 45° to the axes of the optical fiber.

    • Apparatuses, methods, and systems associated with and/or having components capable of, isolating defects in microelectronic packages are disclosed herein. In various embodiments, a defect-isolation apparatus may include an optoelectronic module to convert an optical test signal to an electrical test signal and provide the electrical test signal to a device under test; an electro-optic probe including an electro-optic crystal to polarize an optical sampling signal upon application of an electrical test signal reflected from the device under test to the electro-optic crystal; and an output module configured to receive the polarized optical sampling signal, and produce an electrical output signal as a function of time based at least in part on the polarized optical sampling signal, the electrical output signal adapted to facilitate isolation of the location(s) of the defect(s) in the device under test.

    • The present invention is to provide a voltage detector having a common communication line for reducing a manufacturing cost. A low voltage line CPU transmits a detection instruction including an assignment of one address among a plurality of blocks. The detection instruction is branched by a transmitting bus line for concurrently transmitting to a plurality of voltage detector units. When one of the voltage detector units receives the detection instruction with the address being same as a self-address thereof, the voltage detector unit detects output voltages of unit cells and transmits the detected result to the low voltage line CPU. When the received address is not the self-address, the voltage detector unit does not transmit the detected result.
