    • A treatment device (1) for flowable material comprises a container body (2) suitable for receiving a predefined quantity of said flowable material and delimited by a wall (3), at least one radiating device (20, 30) which radiates infrared radiation to heat said flowable material in said container body (2), a cleaning device (10, 11, 12) fixed at one end thereof (11a) to a base (110, 6) of said container body (2) and rotatable around an axis (X) of said container body (2), and a cleaning device (10, 11, 12) provided with a scraping device (12) provided at an end portion (1 ib) of said cleaning device (10, 11, 12) opposite said first end (11a) and arranged to run in the rotation of said cleaning device (10, 11, 12) over at least one segment (T) of a free stretch (3′) of the said wall (3) defined between a free surface (S) of said material and a mouth (2′) of said container (2) in order to scrape off any residues of said flowable material from said at least one segment (T) of said free stretch of wall (3′).

    • An apparatus for drying and powderizing organic material. The apparatus includes at least one chamber including: an intake adapted to receive warm air and the material into the at least one chamber, and an outlet adapted to transport warm air and powder out of the at least one chamber; at least one rotatable drive shaft in the at least one chamber adapted to rotated; and at least one blade assembly on the at least one drive shaft. The blade assembly includes a blade hub about the rotatable drive shaft and at least one blade coupled to the blade hub, wherein the at least one blade is adapted to powderize the material to expose a surface of the material to the warm air so that moisture in the material evaporates into the warm air.

    • A treating apparatus for drying wet sludge in batches or continuous feed which is circulated through the apparatus. The apparatus includes conveyor means for circulating the wet sludge in a closed loop and means for heating and circulating the dryer air around and about the conveyor means without contacting the sludge itself. It also includes means for heating and circulating cleaning air through the sludge to dry the sludge as it is circulating in the closed loop. A sensor is provided for determining the moisture content of the sludge and means are provided for discharging the sludge from the conveyor circulating means when the moisture content in the sludge reaches a predetermined level. A measured amount of cleaning air is drawn into the conveyor means from the atmosphere and circulates through the sludge itself to assist in drying and cleaning the sludge. This air is then withdrawn from the interior of the conveying means and exhausted through a cleaning means into the atmosphere. The invention includes a method of operating the apparatus to dry wet sludge.
