    • An apparatus and method for cooling of electronic equipment, for example a computer system, in a subsurface environment including a containment vessel in at least partial contact with subsurface liquid or solid material. The containment vessel may be disposed in a variety of subsurface environments, including boreholes, man-made excavations, subterranean caves, as well as ponds, lakes, reservoirs, oceans, or other bodies of water. The containment vessel may be installed with a subsurface configuration allowing for human access for maintenance and modification. Geothermal cooling is achieved by one or more fluids circulating inside and/or outside the containment vessel, with a variety of configurations of electronic devices disposed within the containment vessel. The circulating fluid(s) may be cooled in place by thermal conduction or by active transfer of the fluid(s) out of the containment vessel to an external, possibly geothermal, heat exchange mechanism, then back into the containment vessel.

    • The present invention relates to a box system for keeping medicine and other payloads at a desired temperature for prolonged periods of time. The system generally includes three or more insulating materials between a refrigerant and the payload so that the payload is not cold-shocked by the refrigerant but instead maintains a desired temperature range during shipment. An advantage of the box system of certain embodiments of the present disclosure is that the system allows a shipper to use a temperature controlled system that is effective in controlling temperature without the need for any expensive phase change materials. A box having foldable tabs for securing the materials to each other is also disclosed herein.

    • Disclosed are a cold-charging type truck box/cargo container and a temperature-keeping box, which includes a truck box that includes one or more temperature-keeping chambers and a cold storage chamber arranged to correspond to a top of the temperature-keeping chambers, the cold storage chamber receiving therein one or more cold accumulators, wherein a wall of the truck box corresponding to the cold storage chamber is provided with a connector; and a freezer, which includes a delivery tube and a freezing system, the delivery tube having a first end connected to the freezing system, the delivery tube having a second connected to a fast connector; wherein connection is selectively made between the connector and the fast connector to allow the freezing system to supply cold energy through the delivery tube into the cold storage chamber to freeze the cold accumulators. With freezing of the cold accumulators being completed at every morning, cargos can be transported from a transfer station to a destination. Return is then made back to the transfer station, where a freezer is operated to supply cold energy to the cold storage chamber to freeze the cold accumulators for being ready for use in the next day.
