摘要： A cooking apparatus including a filter which may efficiently collect gas and smoke generated in a pyro-cleaning process, and a method of controlling the same. The cooking apparatus includes a main body having a cooking chamber formed therein, a vent unit configured to discharge gas in the cooking chamber to the outside of the main body, and a filter installed in at least one of the cooking chamber and the vent unit to collect gas or smoke generated in the cooking chamber. 摘要： An oven appliance includes a baking stone positioned within a housing at a bottom portion of a cooking chamber. A baffle is positioned within the housing below a lower heating element array. The baffle includes an upper plate and a lower plate. Holes of the upper plate are offset from holes of the lower plate. The holes of the lower plate are contiguous with a regulating air duct of the housing such that a flow of air enters the baffle through the holes of the lower plate. Regulating air exits the holes of the upper plate and is impinged onto a bottom surface of the baking stone in a pattern to regulate baking stone temperature.

The filter member includes a plurality of sections inclined upward or downward with respect to one another and interconnected, with curves irregularly formed along the sections. Accordingly, since the toxic gas being discharged through the filter member is dispersed, entangled and mixed by the irregular curves of the filter member, a reaction time between the toxic gas and a catalyst coating the filter member is increased, thereby improving the purification efficiency.

In particular, the configuration of the air plenum, as well as the sizing and distribution of oven cavity entry nozzles, provides for an enhanced flow of heated air to the food product, thereby resulting in short cooking times due to high heat transfer while also providing an even browning and crisping of the food item being cooked. In addition, the cooking appliance incorporates an exhaust system wherein cooling air and a percentage of the recirculating airflow are mixed prior to being exhausted from an angled exhaust mixing tube.

摘要： A catalytic conversion unit treats emissions emanating from a cooking event. The unit comprises a housing to contain the other components that connects either directly or through the use of ancillary components to the oven cavity of a residential range, or oven. Contained within the housing are an electric heating element and a catalyst unit. The housing may connect to additional components to complete the venting of the exhaust to the atmosphere. The electric heating element is arranged so that infrared radiation from the hot surface of the element is visible by the inlet face of the catalyst. The power output of the heater is sized so that the catalyst reaches a minimum operating temperature to initiate the catalytic reaction in advance of the temperature increase in the air coming from the cavity.

摘要： A catalytic converter device for use with a device such as an oven is provided. The catalytic converter device includes a catalyst-coated ceramic substrate and a mounting ring. The mounting ring secures the ceramic substrate and is engagable with one or more surfaces of a vent of the oven to secure the catalytic converter within an orifice of the vent such that gases flowing through the vent will pass through the apertures of the substrate. The mounting ring includes a body in the shape of a ring, one or more retaining tabs extending from the body which secure the ceramic substrate within the ring about the circumferential surface of the ceramic substrate, and one or more locking tabs extending from the body. The one or more locking tabs allow the mounting ring to be slid or snapped into place in the vent orifice, thereby eliminating the need to secure the catalytic converter device using screws.
