摘要： A method monitors a pressure tank system of a stationary vehicle. The method detects a wake-up situation by use of sensor data of a main sensor of the vehicle. Furthermore, in reaction to the detection of a wake-up situation, the method activates a further resource for detecting and/or for evaluating sensor data with regard to the pressure tank system. Moreover, the method determines, by use of the further resource, whether one or more protective measures are to be carried out in relation to the pressure tank system and/or the surroundings thereof.

摘要： A remote monitoring system for a mobile storage tank having a product container in which a remote telemetry unit gathers liquid level and head space pressure data and global position data. The remote telemetry unit effects a wireless transmission of a standard message structure containing the pressure and level data and the global position data. In addition, in case of a storage tank having a thermal shield fluid, pressure and level data for the shield fluid itself may also be in the standard data record as well as acceleration data from an accelerometer to indicate tank damage. If upset conditions of pressure and liquid level are reached in the thermal shield and/or product container, vapor may be vented in accordance with preset programming in order to attempt to reestablish liquid level and vapor pressure above set points.

A fill passage (38) is provided in the vessel (12) for directing the air bag inflation gas (32) into the chamber (30). Blocking means (60) is provided in the fill passage (38) for blocking flow of the air bag inflation gas (32) from the chamber (30) through the fill passage. A closure (70) is welded to the vessel (12) and blocks gas flow past the closure. A detectable gas (84), different than the air bag inflation gas (30), is stored in the fill passage (38) between the blocking means (60) and the closure (70). The presence of the detectable gas in the fill passage (38) is checked to determine whether the closure (70) is properly sealed.

摘要： An apparatus and method for measuring the sloshing in the cargo tank of a liquefied natural gas carrier is provided. The apparatus includes: a plate-shaped floating mat coupler which floats on the surface of the liquefied natural gas contained in the cargo tank of a liquefied natural gas carrier and moves in accordance with the movement of the liquefied natural gas; and an optical sensor measuring acceleration using optical sensor technology to measure acceleration when the floating mat coupler floats by being inserted in one or more positions in the floating mat coupler. The characteristics of the movement occurring in accordance with the sloshing of the liquefied natural gas in the cargo tank of a liquefied natural gas carrier, and the shock and deformation which the inner wall of the cargo tank is subjected to because of such movement, are measured at multiple angles.

摘要： An improved inflammable liquid safety tank comprising a double walled tank body with the tank walls being interconnected by support plates. An intermediate container is formed by the inner wall structure of the tank and is adapted to hold inflammable liquid. A pressurized gas bottle is threadably mounted to a sleeve secured to and extending into the intermediate container. The pressurized gas bottle is selectively connected to the intermediate container to pressurize liquid held in the intermediate container. The pressurized gas bottle also communicates with the tank to pressurize a foam, nonflammable fluid, or cleaning agent placed in the chamber or outer compartment defined by the outer wall structure of the intermediate container and the inner wall structure of the tank body so that the foam, fluid or agent will be expelled from the tank if the tank wall is accidentally punctured. The outer compartment is preferably pressurized at a lower pressure than the intermediate container. A conduit is connected to an inlet/discharge fitting and extends into the intermediate container adjacent the floor of the intermediate container and below the level of liquid placed in the intermediate container. A flexible hose with an adjustable nozzle is mounted to the tank body for selective communication with either the outer compartment or the intermediate container so that the material contained within either of the containers can be selectively discharged from the nozzle.
