    • The present invention provides a gas generator including: a housing having a top plate, a bottom plate located axially opposite to the top plate, and a circumferential wall located between the top plate and the bottom plate and provided with a gas discharge port; a partition wall provided with a single first communication hole, the partition wall being radially disposed in the housing to partition an interior of the housing into a first combustion chamber on the side of the top plate, which accommodates a first gas generating agent, and a second combustion chamber on the side of the bottom plate, which accommodates a second gas generating agent; a cylindrical guide member disposed between the first igniter attached to the bottom surface and the first communication hole, and provided with a second communication hole in a cylindrical wall thereof, the cylindrical guide member being disposed so as to enclose the first igniter, such that a second end opening thereof is connected to the first communication hole of the partition wall, the second end opening or the first communication hole being closed by a first closing member in a state where the second end opening or the first communication hole faces the first combustion chamber, the second communication hole closed by a second closing member in a state where the second communication hole faces the second combustion chamber, and a rupturing pressure of the first closing member being set lower than a rupturing pressure of the second closing member.

    • The present invention provides a gas generator including in a housing having a top plate, a bottom plate and a circumferential wall provided with a gas discharge port, a first combustion chamber arranged on the side of the top plate, a second combustion chamber arranged on the side of the bottom plate, and a plenum chamber facing the gas discharge port and arranged between the first combustion chamber and the second combustion chamber, a first igniter and a second igniter mounted to the bottom plate, the first igniter for igniting and burning a first gas generating agent in the first combustion chamber, and the second igniter for igniting and burning a second gas generating agent in the second combustion chamber; the first combustion chamber being a space surrounded by the inner cylinder, the first annular retainer and the top plate, the plenum chamber being a space surrounded by the inner cylinder, the first annular retainer, the circumferential wall of the housing provided with the gas discharge port and the second annular retainer, and the second combustion chamber being a space surrounded by the inner cylinder, the second annular retainer, the circumferential wall of the housing and the bottom plate of the housing.

    • The present invention provides a gas generator including a cylindrical housing in which an ignition device is attached at a first end portion thereof and a diffuser portion provided with a gas discharge port is attached at a second end portion thereof, an annular end surface being formed on the side of the second end portion, a cylindrical flow path forming member being disposed in the cylindrical housing, an inner space of the cylindrical flow path forming member being partitioned by a partition wall into a first chamber on the side of the first end portion and a second chamber on the side of the second end portion, a space, which includes the first chamber, being a combustion chamber filled with a gas generating agent, and the second chamber forming part of a gas discharge path, in the cylindrical flow path forming member, a first cylindrical space, which is formed between a first wall surface of the cylindrical flow path forming member on the side of the first chamber and the inner wall surface of the cylindrical housing, and a second cylindrical space, which is formed between a second wall surface of the cylindrical flow path forming member on the side of the second chamber and the inner wall surface of the cylindrical housing, being continuous in an axial direction, and the second cylindrical space being a cylindrical space with a length L from a boundary with the first cylindrical space to the annular end surface, and having an annular pocket portion with a length L1 from the annular end surface to the second communication holes, and at least part of a surface of the annular pocket portion being provided with a concave-convex portion.

    • The present invention provides a gas generator wherein a diffuser portion having a gas discharge port is disposed at one end of a cylindrical housing; an ignition device is disposed at the other end of the cylindrical housing; an axially-movable metallic partition wall having a plurality of through-holes is disposed between the ignition device and the diffuser portion; a space between the partition wall and the ignition device is an ignition device chamber charged with a molded article of a first gas generating agent; a space between the partition wall and the diffuser portion is a combustion chamber charged with a molded article of a second gas generating agent; the partition wall has a circular bottom surface and an annular wall extending, in a single direction, perpendicularly to an outer circumference of the circular bottom surface, and the circular bottom surface is disposed so as to be on the diffuser portion side; the ignition device has an igniter having a disk-shaped ignition portion protruding toward the partition wall and a metallic annular member having an annular wall and disposed around the ignition portion; and the annular wall of the annular member protrudes to the partition wall further than the distal end surface of the ignition portion.
