    • Methods and apparatus for applying a uniform application of an appropriate quantity of pipe dope to the internal threads of a pipe. In general, the preferred apparatus includes a supply of pipe dope and a centrifugal applicator for evenly applying the pipe dope to internal threads. The system also includes a dosing system to regulate the distribution of pipe dope by dispensing a consistent volume of pipe dope at each application. Potential advantages of the preferred embodiments include the repeatability and consistency of amount of pipe dope on pipe threads (e.g. thickness).

    • An in-line lubricator for a pneumatic tool system includes a body defining a fluid reservoir and a working passageway and an actuator positionable within the body. The actuator includes an elongated body having a transfer cavity formed therein which is in fluid communication with the fluid reservoir when the actuator is in a first position and which is in fluid communication with the working passageway when the actuator is in the second position. Movement of the actuator from the first position to the second position transports a predetermined amount of fluid from the fluid reservoir into the working passageway.

    • A pre-oiling system for automatically injecting oil into the oil gallery lubricating system of an automotive engine prior to start up. The assembly includes an outer vessel, a manifold valve block, which is attached to the outer vessel and includes a solenoid valve, and a control circuit for logic control of the solenoid valve. An air replenishment assembly is positioned on the outer vessel permitting measurement of the pressure in the outer vessel and also allowing for air to be added to the outer vessel to pressurize oil contained within the outer vessel. In one embodiment, the air replenishment assembly includes a schrader valve which provides replacement air to the outer vessel and the spare tire. Oil is automatically injected into the oil gallery lubricating system upon the engine starting. Specifically, the solenoid valve is opened in response to the engine being started which allows pressurized oil to flow from the outer vessel to the oil gallery of the engine. During operation of the engine, oil is pumped into the outer vessel and the air is pressurized for subsequent starting operations of the engine. In one embodiment, the outer vessel also includes an additional inner vessel that has pressurized air and oil which will provide the oil upon the engine turning off to a turbocharger.

    • A pneumatic oil lubricator for lubricating replenishment mainly has a pneumatic oil pump for pumping oil from a oil reservoir to an oil outlet unit, such as an oil gun. An automatic controlling apparatus is provided which has a hollow unit sleeve, a piston disposed in the hollow unit sleeve, and a spring mounted on the piston. The piston has interior air passage formed at one end thereof. The entrance and the exit of the interior air passage are faced to the second connecting inlet and the connecting outlet respectively. In which, the hollow sleeve has a first and a second connecting inlets at its two end and an connection outlet. The first connecting inlet is linked to an air compressor, the first connecting outlet is linked to the air outlet unit, and the connecting outlet is linked to an air inlet of the pneumatic oil pump. Since the oil pressure alters according to the switching on or off of the oil outlet unit, the piston will be driven to move in the unit sleeve that the interior air passage can be kept opened or closed. Thus, when the oil outlet unit is switched off, the interior air passage will be closed to stop the air flowing to the pneumatic oil pump that the pneumatic oil pump is stopped automatically without electric equipment.

    • The invention is an apparatus for distributing a lubricant to the air guns in a single airline seismic air gun subarray which utilizes an air-lubricant mixture to operate and lubricate the air guns in the subarray. The air-lubricant mixture from the single airline is supplied to each air gun through a separate adapter and a cut-off valve. The lubricant tends to accumulate near the first several air guns, which wind up using most of the lubricant contained in the mixture while leaving no or very little lubricant for the remaining air guns. To prevent this uneven distribution of the lubricant, a lubricant metering device is placed in certain adapters to control the amount of the lubricant supplied to their associated air guns. Using the lubricant metering device to control the lubricant supply to the air guns in a subarray ensures that all the air guns receive adequate lubricant supply.
