    • A power-branched transmission, particularly for agricultural vehicles such as tractors or similar, includes a stepped planetary gear which is disposed between an input shaft and an output shaft and is used for dividing the power supplied at the input shaft onto a mechanical power branch and a hydraulic power branch. The hydraulic power branch is formed by two hydraulically interconnected, identical hydrostatic axial piston engines which can be selectively operated as a pump or an engine, can be swiveled within a predefined pivoting angle, and can be connected to the input shaft or the stepped planetary gear in a different manner via two respective clutches so as to cover different operating ranges or running steps. In order to obtain better efficiency in such a power-branched transmission, the two hydrostatic axial piston engines are configured as wide-angle hydrostats that are provided with a minimum pivoting angle range of 45°.

    • Two motors are arranged on opposing sides of a common shaft, drive plates of the pump/motors being rigidly coupled to each other, for example by being in hard contact with opposing sides of the shaft. By providing hard contact between the pump/motor drive plates and a common shaft, the drive plates and shaft act as a substantially solid element under compression, thereby substantially canceling axial loads generated by the pump/motors directly through the shaft. Residual axial loads are handled via bearings positioned on the shaft adjacent the drive plates in such a manner that the drive plates are in light contact only with the bearings. As a result, friction experienced by the bearings is substantially reduced as compared to conventional systems, thereby improving the efficiency of the system. To further reduce loads on the bearings, the pump/motors are arranged to ensure that they generate radial forces in a direction that is opposite to that of a separation force generated by a torque transferring device carried on the shaft and transmitted to the bearings. A common housing surrounding the two pump/motors, bearings and torque transferring device is divided into three regions, to segregate the bearings and torque transferring assembly from the pump/motors. In this manner, the regions containing the pump/motors are substantially filled with oil to, for example, fully lubricate the pump/motors, while the central region containing the gears and torque transferring device contains a significantly smaller volume of oil to simply splash lubricate the contents of the region, thereby reducing drag on the bearings. Control means are provided for selectively moving the two pump/motors substantially simultaneously to a selected displacement angle, using mechanical systems alone and in combination with hydraulic systems.

    • The invention relates to a hydraulic module for hydrostatic mechanical gearboxes having two swashplates or oblique axis drive units which are integrated in the hydraulic module. The swashplate drive units are mounted in a common housing with parallel drive shafts and each have a rotating cylinder block with expellers which can move therein and which are supported in a sliding fashion on a double swashplate whose pivot angle is adjustable by means of a servo system. The double swashplate is designed to carry out positively coupled common adjustment of the volume flow of the two drive units and is equipped with bearing faces for the expellers of the respective drive units, said bearing faces having different angles of inclination relative to the respective drive shaft. The oblique axis drive units each have a cylinder block with expellers which can move therein and which are each pivotably mounted on the coaxial shafts.
