摘要： A vertical support provides for the rapid assembly, disassembly, and modification of a shelving system in a variety of configurations, as determined by the practical and aesthetic requirements of the user. The vertical support facilitates the mounting of a variety of attachment members, such as shelves, hangers, or media boards, that contain powered appliances, allowing the user to further customize the shelving system to his practical and aesthetic requirements. The vertical support makes it easy for a user to mount these attachment members and hides the connections of the various components, to maximize the aesthetic appeal of the shelving display. Additionally, vertical support can be configured with other subcomponents to form shelving systems.

Each connector has a support body and several anchor bodies that are formed integrally with the support body or independent from it. The support body has six faces with at most six anchor bodies. For any face of the support body that does not have an anchor body, it is formed to be coplanar with a surface of an adjoining anchor body, allowing an end of a tube with a suitably shaped end portion to cover that face of the support body. A U-shaped aperture with a slanted through passage are provided at a junction of at least one anchor body with the support body. This allows a tool to be inserted into the connector to fix a final tube to the connector.

This strip may have a colored design and thus, while one and the same profile is used, permits the achieving of different aesthetic effects.

摘要： A folding table construction embodying a planar top, foldable legs and a novel apron assembly connected to the underside of the top. The apron unit comprises elongated discrete, relatively short straight lengths of formed metal side and end strips, or stringers, which are securely interconnected together by spaced apart, one-piece, blow molded corner moldings adapted to be affixed to the underside of the table top. Due to the novel design of the corner moldings and the stringers, the construction of the supporting apron requires no metal bending or welding. Further, the corner moldings can be colored during the molding step and the stringers can be painted to match in small painting units prior to apron assembly. In an alternate form of the invention, the planar top is constructed in two pieces and the side stringers are constructed in two pieces which are hingably interconnected so that the table top can be folded for ease of transport and storage.

One plate has threaded apertures for the receipt of jacking screws, and the other has recesses for engaging the tips of the screws, the axes of which are offset when the lateral edges of the plates are in mutual registry; adjacent interior edges of the plates are serrated for increased gripping power. Advancement of the screw separates and shifts the plates to move the serrated edges toward one another, thus applying lateral as well as a transverse clamping and gripping forces upon the frame members.
