    • A connection assembly 10 usable for interconnecting two elongate frame members 12 which each include a channel 14. An elongate link member 22 is locatable in the channels 14 of the adjacent members 12 and extending therebetween. A respective connection assembly 20 is locatable in each of the channels 14 to engage against the link member 22 and retain same in the respective channel 14. Each connection assembly 20 is selectively movable between an engaged and a disengaged condition to respectively connect the two frame members 12, or permit the frame members 12 to be pulled apart.

    • A slat tensioning mechanism is provided for holding interconnected slats of a louver assembly in a desired angulated position. The slat tensioning mechanism comprises a housing having wheel positioning means for rotationally receiving a bearing wheel. The bearing wheel has an outer circumferential flat wall, and hub means adapted for securement to an end connector of a slat, whereby the bearing wheel and the slat rotate together. A tensioning arm assembly is pivotedly engaged to the housing and has an arm disposed at a predetermined location with respect to the outer circumferential flat wall of the bearing wheel. The arm has a friction surface at a free end thereof for applying a pressure on the outer circumferential flat wall of the bearing wheel for frictionally arresting the bearing wheel at the desired position. The slat tensioning mechanism is adapted to be disposed in an upright of the louver assembly. A cap is secured to an end portion of the upright of the louver assembly and has a button in its top surface adapted for snap-engagement with a corresponding groove of a window sill. A traction corner is provided for releasably assembling a pair of hollow frame members and provides adjustable mating engagement.

    • A pair of frame members have ends beveled at an angle of 45.degree. and mated with one another to provide a miter joint. The frame members have perpendicularly arranged plates each having an opening adjacent its one end to provide a separate end portion. A corner angle is mounted on the plates and has a pair of legs each having a projection of a V-shaped cross-section received in one of the openings. The V-shaped projections jointly provide a pair of substantially parallel members for clamping the separate end portions, the parallel members being fastened together by a screw passing therethrough. As the screw is tightened, the clamping members are moved closer to fasten the separate end portions securely together and to press the angle legs against the plates of the frame members.
