摘要： A cover for an engine assembly of a motor vehicle is attached at one end by a hinge and at the other end by sockets interlocking with engine projections. The engine assembly has a first hinge portion located at a top, rearward end of the engine assembly, and has first and second structural projections extending upwardly and spaced from the first hinge portion. The cover has a foam body overmolded onto a rigid substrate. The substrate has an integral second hinge portion to engage the first hinge portion. The foam body is formed of polyurethane foam with first and second sockets releasably receiving the first and second projections, respectively, to hold the cover at an installed position. The soft cover provides excellent noise and vibration performance together with a desired visual appearance. Manual installation and removal of the cover is done easily and without any tools or removable fasteners.

摘要： A cover for an engine assembly of a motor vehicle is attached at one end by a hinge and at the other end by sockets interlocking with engine projections. An internal gear pump (1) comprises: a trochoid (4), in which an inner rotor (3) having a plurality of outer teeth is eccentrically and rotatably accommodated in an outer rotor (2) having a plurality of inner teeth, the outer teeth meshing with the inner teeth, and in which a suction-side chamber for suctioning liquid and a discharge-side chamber for discharging the liquid that has been suctioned into the suction-side chamber are formed between the inner teeth and outer teeth; a drive shaft (9) fixed to the inner rotor (3); a casing (5) in which is formed a recess (5a) for accommodating the trochoid (4); and a cover (6) for closing off the recess (5a) of the casing (5). The cover (6) has a plain bearing part (11) for rotatably supporting the drive shaft (9), and the plain bearing part (11) is formed by injection-molding a thermoplastic resin composition directly onto the cover (6).

摘要： A composite component includes an inner core formed from a first composite material having discontinuous fibers. An outer sleeve is formed from a second composite material different from the first, and having continuous fibers. The outer sleeve generally surrounds and is bonded or otherwise connected to the inner core. The component is made by injecting or otherwise introducing thermoplastic fiber composite material including chopped or otherwise discontinuous fibers into a mold to form the inner core having a first portion with smooth surfaces and integrally joined to a second portion with bumps and ridges. The injected thermoplastic fiber composite material is cured and then removed from the mold. A layup including one or more surface plies of a thermoset continuous fiber composite material is then applied to the smooth first portion of the core. The surface plies then are compressed and cured in a mold.

摘要： A method for manufacturing a machine structural element from a molded composite material includes manufacturing of an abradable layer made integrally from the material of the element. The method consists in adding a filler material to the resin at the surface to be made abradable, the filler material being able to disintegrate, such as e.g. transitioning to vapor phase, during the heat treatment of polymerizing the resin in order to create porosity inside the layer.
