Historical wind speed micro-forecasts for the wind turbine for a time periods immediately preceding the specified past time and immediately following the specified past time are received. The historical wind speed micro-forecasts are converted to wind power values. Based on the historical power output measurements and the wind power output values, a machine learning model for predicting wind power output is trained. Real-time power output measurements of the wind turbine and real-time wind speed micro-forecasts for the wind turbine are received. The real-time wind speed micro-forecasts are converted to real-time wind power values. Using the machine learning model with the real-time power output measurements and the real-time wind power values, a wind power output forecast for the wind turbine at a future time is outputted.

摘要： Embodiments herein describe using a tower damping system to reduce oscillations in a wind turbine. To do so, the dampening system may use a metric that is decoupled from the activation strategy in order to control the blade pitch and avoid or mitigate feedback loops. In one embodiment, the dampening system measures a force on the turbine that is correlated to a fatigue loading on the tower. Furthermore, the turbine may perform a calculation to decouple the force from the activation strategy. That is, the turbine determines the value of the force as if the damping system was not activated or present. In addition, the dampening system uses the current wind speed and a wind distribution to generate a pitch reference value. The dampening system may use both the pitch reference value and the fatigue loading on the tower to reduce the tower oscillations.

摘要： The present disclosure is directed to a system and method for estimating an overall wind coherence acting on a wind turbine and using same to dynamically adapt the gain or bandwidth of pitch or torque or yaw control logic within a wind turbine. The method includes generating, via sensors, a plurality of sensor signals reflective of wind conditions near the wind turbine. The method also includes filtering, via at least one filter, the sensor signals at a predetermined frequency range considered damaging for turbine sub-system loading. Thus, the method also includes estimating an overall damaging wind coherence acting on the wind turbine as a function of distance-normalized wind coherences, which themselves are derived from auto and cross-covariances of pairs of filtered signals. The distance normalization uses a model of natural coherence dissipation with distance.

A compensating system is configured to compute a shaft moment correction command based on the shaft moment set point correction value output from the adjusting system. A pitch system is configured to adjust a pitch of at least one blade of the wind turbine based on the shaft moment set point correction command, or a yaw system is configured to adjust the yaw position of a rotor based on the shaft moment set point correction command.

摘要： A method for operating a wind turbine includes: providing a curve defining optimal pitch angle as a function of tip speed ratio or as a function of wind speed; modifying at least a part of the optimal pitch angle curve by applying a safety buffer, thereby obtaining a safety modified pitch angle curve; operating the wind turbine in accordance with the safety modified pitch angle curve; measuring one or more parameters regarding wind conditions and/or loads on one or more component of the wind turbine; adjusting the safety buffer, based on the measurements, thereby obtaining an adjusted pitch angle curve; and operating the wind turbine in accordance with the adjusted pitch angle curve. Since the safety buffer is adjusted based on measured parameters, it can be reduced if actual operating conditions are less severe than expected. This allows the wind turbine to be operated in a more optimal manner.

摘要： A wind turbine control system suitable for minimizing actuation of pitch actuators is disclosed. The control system uses an error gain schedule in full load control for reducing pitch actuation when the difference between the rotor speed and the reference rotor speed is not critical for the load of wind turbine components. The error gain schedule may be a nonlinear function which reduces the gain for low rotor speed errors. The use of the error gain schedule may reduce wear of the pitch actuators and may improve reduction of structural oscillations since focus removed from tracking the rotor speed reference when the speed error is low.

摘要： The rotor blades of a wind turbine each have a plurality of fibre-optic pressure variation sensors which can detect the onset of a stall condition. The output of the stall condition sensors is input to a stall count circuit which increases a stall count signal each time a stall indication is received. The stall count signal is decayed exponentially over time and the current signal is summed with the decayed signal from a previous sampling period to form a value from which a stall margin is determined. An λ:θ curve of tip speed to wind speed ratio λ against pitch angle reference θ is then determined from the stall margin.
