摘要： In at least some implementations, a retainer for a fuel system component having an electrically conductive portion accessible from the exterior of the component includes a retaining feature and a grounding feature. The retaining feature is adapted to maintain the location of the fuel system component and the grounding feature electrically couples a ground wire to the electrically conductive portion of the fuel system component. The fuel system component is grounded through a path including the grounding feature and ground wire.

摘要： The disclosed lift pump employs a unique arrangement of conductive studs to transmit the three phases of motor power from the control board to the brushless motor. The conductive studs penetrate the wall of the motor/pump enclosure, which is otherwise non-conductive. The conductive studs are intentionally larger than needed to transmit the current used by the motor, and are arranged in thermal contact with heat conductive portions of the motor control board to transmit heat from the control board into the motor/pump enclosure where heat is transmitted to fuel passing through the assembly. An additional center heat sink is situated in a position aligned with heat generating capacitors that are part of the motor drive circuitry on the motor control board.

A pump section has an inlet port and is connected to the case member. A motor section is housed in the case member for driving the pump section. A positive electrode terminal and a negative electrode terminal are supported by an insulative terminal support member fixed to the discharge-side cover. Base portions of the positive and negative electrode terminals are covered by insulative portions. The insulative portions are fitted in fitting holes of the discharge-side cover. The discharge-side cover has guide portions on its inner surface. The terminal support member has engagement projections on opposite side walls thereof. The engagement projections are guided by the guide portions to restrict the discharge-side cover from rotating with respect to the terminal support member.

摘要： A pass-through electrical connector assembly with a body having at least one through-hole formed therein. A pin is forced into the through-hole and held by the body. The pin has a shank with opposed ends, each with a blind hole to receive a wire and a solid center portion that seals the wires and the pin. The pin has a tip with a barb at one end and a head with a shoulder at the other end which captures the pin in the body after the pin is forced into the through-hole when the shoulder engages the body. The shank has a circumferential surface that is press-fit within the through-hole to form a seal between the pin and the body. The body can then be sealed to a mating flange of a fluid-holding tank.

摘要： A fuel feed apparatus includes a grounded conductive resinous sub tank, a conductive fuel inlet pipe integrally formed with a bottom section of the sub tank and a conductive resinous jet nozzle included in a jet pump. The jet nozzle is welded on the bottom section of the sub tank, and has a nozzle port for jetting fuel. Here, the jet nozzle, the jet pump and the fuel inlet pipe are grounded via the sub tank without individual wiring member. Even if static electricity is generated due to friction between the jet nozzle and fuel jetted from the nozzle port, electrical charging can be prohibited. Thus, dielectric breakdown due to the electrically charging and cracking resulting from the dielectric breakdown can be also prohibited.
