    • A mine roof and rib support can be a support member having a roof support arm and a rib support arm, wherein the roof support arm is provided at an angle to the rib support arm. An aperture for a roof bolt is provided through the support member adjacent an intersection of the roof support arm and the rib support arm. A bearing plate having an upper edge and a lower edge, and a through-hole provided therebetween, can be provided wherein the upper and lower edges are positioned in abutment with the roof and rib support arms, respectively, to simultaneously apply force to each arm when a roof bolt is installed through each of the bearing plate and the support member. A flange can be provided at a distal end of one or both of the roof and rib support arms, each flange projecting toward the mine roof or rib.

A stanchion is formed on the top side and includes a bore extending from a top end of the stanchion through the bearing surface, the bore sized to receive the inclined bolt. A bracket is formed on the top side and includes a laterally extending slotted bore sized to receive the horizontal bolt. A portion of the first end and a portion of the first side cooperate to form a curved edge.

    • The present invention relates to a cable truss system for supporting a mine roof. The system includes at least one cable bolt secured in at least a pair of spaced boreholes. A leading end of each cable bolt is secured within the borehole and the trailing end extending out of the borehole. At least one splice tube is coupled to the trailing end of each cable bolt. Each splice tube includes an elongated conduit between a pair of spaced ends with the conduit adapted to receive at least a pair of cables therethrough. Cable attachments are provided on the trailing end of each cable bolt at a position on the cable bolt such that the splice tube is positioned between the cable attachment and the borehole. The cable attachment has a diameter larger than the inner dimensions of the conduit of the splice tube such that the cable attachment is adapted to abut against one end of the conduit of the splice tube.

    • An anchored cable sling system stabilizies and supports the rock formation above a mine tunnel roof. The system comprises a unitary multi-strand cable having a series of anchor collars on each end. The anchor collars include radially extending wings that: (1) cut and shread the resin grout material cartridges, (2) mix the resin grout material as the cable end is being inserted into the mine tunnel roof bore hole, and (3) center the anchor collars and cable in the bore hole. The anchor collars are oriented on the cable so that the wings thoroughly mix the resin grout material as it makes its way down the annulus between the cable and bore hole wall as the cable is being forced into the bore hole. The anchored cable sling system is installed in a mine tunnel roof without the necessity of spinning or rotating the cable ends in order to mix the resin grout material. The system may also include a structural beam support and a post-installation tensioning means.

    • The mine support system (26) is typically used in underground coal mines. Support for the hanging wall (40) of the mine is provided by elongate, transversely extending headboards (10) which are supported by spaced apart supports. The supports may take the form of upright mine supports, typically timber props (28) located on the footwall (34) of the mine working, by roof bolts (30) engaging the hanging wall, or by a combination of props and roof bolts. Prestressing grout bags (32) are located on the headboards and bear against the hanging wall. The combination of headboards and bags forms a continuous bridge between the props.
