摘要： An apparatus for trimming step edges includes an elongate member forming a nose piece for mounting at an edge of a horizontal existing surface. The member comprises a rear surface, a front face, a top surface extending therebetween, and a groove in the front face of the member. The groove has first and second side walls extending from first and second side edges at the front face and leading to a base recessed therefrom. The member is supported by screws received in the groove in a mounted position wherein the top surface of the member is spaced above the existing surface so that a thickness of a covering material, which disposed on the existing surface for covering same, is located between the top surface and the existing surface. Also, a lighting element is inserted in the groove for illuminating an area adjacent the edge of the existing surface.

摘要： An assembly for creating a three dimensional exterior structure incorporates a plurality of bodies inter-assembled via engaging tongue and groove profiles to create at least one of a multi-tier stepped or extending walkway surface. Each of the bodies further exhibits a hollowed interior to facilitate in-filling of a compactible material in order to weight said bodies during assembly. Either or both of thermal generating elements or effect lighting can be incorporated into one or more of the bodies. The bodies can also include tiered or stackable step blocks, each exhibiting an interior ledge for supporting a thermally conducting insert shelf or pad, additional rectangular assembled blocks providing tongue and groove engagement and supporting the underside of the step blocks.

摘要： A lamp and a hardscape structure illuminated by the lamp are disclosed. The lamp is formed from a plate to which a light fixture is attached. The plate may have a flange, a decorative face plate and side panels attached to direct light from the fixture along the hardscape on which the lamp is mounted. Mounting is effected by positioning the plate between discrete hardscape elements that are stacked one atop another. A portion of the plate projects out from the structure allowing the fixture to cast light on the structure surface. A light transmitting cover is also provided.

摘要： A step nose is formed having a tread portion and a riser portion, formed initially as a flat strip, the tread portion having a receiving slot formed therein, and the riser portion having a hook formed as part thereof. The tread and riser portions are stretchable with respect to one another so as to enable the hook to interlockingly engage the slot when the tread and riser portions of the flat strip are bent towards one another to thereby form a step nose ready for installation. Machines are further disclosed for forming the flat step nose strip into an assembled state by bending the tread and riser portions and interlocking them together.
