摘要： A paving binder according to the present invention is used for a paving mixture for forming a pavement, including a polyamide resin having a weight average molecular weight, as measured by gel permeation chromatography of 2,000 or more and 10,000 or less and having an area, corresponding to a component having a molecular weight of 20,000 or more and 500,000 or less, of 0.5% or more and 12% or less of a total area in a chromatogram of molecular weight distribution as measured by gel permeation chromatography. Thus, tolerance for a severe temperature condition or loading condition can be improved, while ensuring convenience from the standpoint of laying such that the laying can be made by the conventional machine composition or laying system.

摘要： A void reducing asphalt membrane composition for asphalt pavements that includes: an asphalt binder; an elastomeric polymer; a wax modifier; and at least one of: i) fumed silica or fumed alumina; and ii) a saponified fatty acid and a resin acid gelling compound. The composition is resistant to flow when applied and migrates into hot mix asphalt in the area of the longitudinal joint to reduce air voids to 7% or less and reduce water permeability. The composition becomes tack-free quickly after application. The composition bonds to asphalt, concrete, brick, stone and metal.

摘要： A composite pavement structure comprises a wearing course layer and a base course layer disposed below the wearing course layer. The wearing course layer comprises aggregate, e.g. glass and rock, and an elastomeric composition. The elastomeric composition comprises the reaction product of an isocyanate component and an isocyanate-reactive component. The isocyanate component comprises a polymeric isocyanate, and optionally, an isocyanate-prepolymer. The isocyanate-reactive component comprises a hydrophobic polyol and a chain extender having at least two hydroxyl groups and a molecular weight of from about 62 to about 220. The chain extender is present in the isocyanate-reactive component in an amount of from about 1 to about 20 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of the isocyanate-reactive component. The base course layer comprises aggregate which is the same or different than the aggregate of the wearing course layer. Methods of forming the composite pavement structure are also disclosed.

摘要： The present invention relates to a paving method of forming an intermediate layer, where a non-solidifying rubberized asphalt penetrates, on an asphalt mixture for base layer or a cement concrete to provide a permeable layer and an impermeable (intermediate) layer simultaneously with a single paving process for surface layer. The waterproofing and draining functions of the non-solidifying rubberized asphalt layer completely block water or moisture from penetrating into the underlying layer and protect the roads from damage due to freezing temperature with the moisture penetrating into the group in winter. The non-solidifying rubberized asphalt layer constituting the intermediate layer has the non-solidifying rubberized asphalt melt down and move upwards under the paving temperature and pressure applied during the paving process of forming a surface layer and firmly bind with the base layer, thereby completing an integrated pavement structure with enhanced water resistance and durability.

The asphalt mixture includes thermoset modified additive for asphalt mixture, matrix asphalt or modified asphalt and mineral aggregate, wherein the weight part proportions of the raw materials are: thermoset modified additive for asphalt mixture 1-5, matrix asphalt 2-8 and mineral aggregate 87-97. The thermoset modified additive for asphalt mixture is prepared by dry process modification technology; the prepared modified additive is powdery, has small particle size, and is easy to disperse in asphalt mixture; and the asphalt mixture prepared from the modified additive has simple operation process and low cost, and can be subjected to continuous production.

The composite material comprises at least one aggregate, e.g. rock and/or glass, and the reaction product of a two-component polymeric binder composition comprising a first component, e.g. an isocyanate component, and a second component, e.g. an isocyanate-reactive component. The mixing system includes a mixing apparatus. The method includes the step of providing the aggregate, the first component and the second component into the mixing apparatus. The method further includes the step of mixing the first and second components to produce the reaction product of the two-component polymeric binder composition, and the step of applying the reaction product of the two-component polymeric binder composition to the aggregate within the mixing apparatus to produce the composite material. The composite material can be used for forming a paved structure, such as a sidewalk or a roadway.
