    • An enamel bead-making system involves a novel bead-pulling station and a mandrel (slender rod). The mandrel is for manually dipping a preheated metal bead core into a container of glass powder so that the powder melts and later solidifies on the core, thereby creating an enamel or glass coated bead. To safely remove the hot enamel bead from the mandrel, the mandrel is manually pulled through a V-notch in an upper edge of the bead-pulling station, which forces the bead off the end of the mandrel and into a collection area for cooling. A second V-notch allows a subsequent bead to be removed and cooled at a location spaced apart from the first one. If a bead sticks on the mandrel, the mandrel can be pushed through a small hole in the bead-pulling station, which helps break a glass bond that might develop between the mandrel and the enamel bead.

    • Process for depositing a thin conducting metal layer on an insulating support comprising the steps of applying on said support a layer of nonconducting ink loaded with a powder of metal, alloy or metallic derivative, heating said support and said layer to harden said ink layer, treating the surface of said layer so as to lay the particles forming said powder bare and immersing said thus coated support into a bath containing, in the form of particles, the conducting metal to be deposited, under conditions which are known per se and such that said conducting metal particles are deposited on the powder particles laid bare, wherein is used as insulating support a support made of an inorganic material provided with an enamel coating and the ink used being a compound formed of an enamel and a carrier, the melting point of said enamel being substantially equal to, and preferably slightly lower than, the softening point of the outer layer of said coating.

    • A pattern is provided in a glaze composition by a series of steps which includes patterning an at least partially cured fusible enameling composition by restructuring it through the removal of material therefrom, refiring the contoured restructure of the enameling composition, and then placing an uncured glaze composition onto the restructured, refined enameling composition. The glaze composition is placed in contact with the pattern in the enameling composition. The glaze composition is then cured. The cured glaze composition and enameling composition are then separated from each other to thereby provide the desired pattern in the glaze composition, without the cost, lack of convertability, and steps of stamping or forming metal to mirror the desired pattern. Also provided is the process for producing the pattern in the fusible enameling composition.
