摘要： A ceramic electronic component (20) having surface conductor films (23) and side-surface conductor films (24) excellent in burning shrinkage, bonding strength, solder heat resistance, solder wettability and the like. A method of producing a ceramic electronic component which uses a conductive paste containing as a main component Ag-based metal powder, the surface of the metal powder being coated with an organic metal compound or a metal oxide having as a constituting element any one selected from Al, Zr, Ti, Y, Ca, Mg and Zn, to form conductor films (23, 24 25) on a ceramic base material (21). A side-surface conductor film-forming paste differs form a surface conductor film-forming paste in that (1) the former paste has a relatively small coating amount of the organic metal compound or metal oxide and/or (2) contains either at least one kind of inorganic oxide powder as an accessory composition or a comparatively high percentage of the inorganic oxide powder.

摘要： Metallizing compositions suitable for the production of fired on electrically conductive films which do not adversely affect the overall strength of heat resistant substrates are described. The compositions comprise, in specified proportions, at least one finely divided electrically conductive metal, certain alkali metal, crystallizable, high silica glass frits as binder, inert liquid vehicle and, if desired, inert filler and/or pigment. The compositions are particularly suited to glass substrates and provide therewith composite structures having greater strength than that of the glass substrate.

摘要： Silver metallizing compositions comprising barium or strontiumcontaining frits for fusion to the surface of a ceramic body. Also included are patterns formed from the metallizing compositions and fused to the surface of ceramic bodies. CdO/BaO/B2O3/SiO2 or CdO/SrO/B2O3/SiO2 represent preferred compositions. Ternary compositions in which either B2O3 or SiO2 are deleted from the preferred quaternary systems also provide workable and adequate frits. These frits, combined with Bi2O3, give binders for metallizing compositions. Such metallizing compositions result from mixing these binders with noble-metal powders and a liquid vehicle. The metallizing compositions may then fuse to surfaces of ceramic bodies.

摘要： Nematodes, and pestiferous microorganisms such as bacteria and fungi, are killed with the aid of a trihydrocarbyl tin neoalkanoate. The pesticide may be applied (e.g. to soil as a nematocide) in the form of a composition comprising solid and/or liquid inert diluents. Suitable solid diluents are talc, pyrophyllite, synthetic fine silica, attapulgus clay, kieselguhr, chalk, lime, bentonite, fullers earth, cottonseed bulbs, wheat flour, soybean flour, pumice, tripoli, wood flow, walnut shell flour and lignin. Suitable liquid diluents are water, benzene, toluene, xylene, kerosene, diesel oil, fuel oil, petroleum naphtha, acetone, methylethyl ketone, cyclohexanone, carbon tetrachloride, chloroform, trichloroethylene perchloroethylene, alkyl acetates, monomethyl ethers of mono- or di-ethylene glycol, alkanols, ethylene or propylene glycol, butyl carbitol acetate, glycerine and liquefied gases (e.g. CCl2F2 or CCl3 F). The composition may also contain surface active agents and may be applied in the form of a dust, solution, emulsion or aerosol. In examples, the trihydrocarbyl tin neoalkanate employed is tributyltin neodecanoate, neopentanoate or neotridecanoate, tripropyltin neooctanoate, tricyclohexyltin neodecanoate or triphenyltin neodecanoate.
