摘要： A sheet finishing apparatus of the present invention has a gate for taking in sheets of paper ejected from an image forming apparatus through a taking-in port and switching to either of a conveying path for post processing or a conveying path for non-post processing to convey the sheets of paper and a tray attached to the upper part of the sheet finishing apparatus by a link mechanism, and the tray can rotate between the height position for storing sheets of paper and the height position away from the upper part and keeps the angle of inclination thereof constant at either of the height positions, and furthermore, sheets of paper taken in from the taking-in port are clamped and conveyed by a pair of rollers, and one of the pair of rollers is supported by a sheet guidance member, and the sheet guidance member rotates in connection with the link mechanism and can cope with paper jamming, if any.

摘要： A photographic print stacking device is positioned proximate the discharge end of the conveyor system which conveys photographic prints from a photographic print cutter. The print stacking device includes upper and lower print receiving elements, which are yieldably urged toward one another. The lower print receiving element is movable generally downward and away from the upper print receiving element as the prints are deposited on the lower print receiving element. The conveyor system delivers the prints to the stacking device with sufficient force to carry the prints between the upper and lower print receiving elements until their front edges engage a stop element. As a result, the rear edges of the prints are all substantially in alignment at a location proximate the discharge end of the conveyor system. The stop element preferably is releasably latched in an operative upstanding position and may be moved out of the way by the operator when removing an accumulated stack of prints.

摘要： A sheet-receiving surface comprises retractable bars movable between a first position and a second position. The first position is a first distance away from a mounting support. The second position is a second distance away from the mounting support. The first distance is greater than the second distance. Pivot arms, having a first end and a second end opposite the first end, are rotationally attached at the first end to the retractable bars and rotationally attached at the second end to the mounting support. Bias elements, operatively connected to the pivot arms, bias the retractable bars to the first position. A link is operatively connected to the retractable bars and an actuator. The sheet-receiving surface accumulates sheets of media into sets of sheets. Responsive to operation of the actuator, the link applies a force to move the retractable bars to the second position, forming an opening to allow the sets of sheets to drop, forming a stack of sets of sheets.
