摘要： The present invention is an actuator that may be used to service a vehicle, where the actuator engages an accelerator pedal of the vehicle and can control the pedal remotely using a vehicle service module or tech station that automatically carries out a vehicle engine service. The actuator comprises a member that uses a linear actuator to engage the vehicle's accelerator pedal and controls the speed of the engine using feedback directly from the engine's ECU or other direct engine input. The pedal actuator include input cables that receive signals from the remote service module to adjust the speed of the engine to optimize a service performance. The data from the engine can include temperature, pressure, RPMs, and various other inputs depending on the service to be performed. The present invention allows the service technician to control the engine without the need for a second tech to apply pressure to the accelerator and monitor the engine speed.

摘要： A diagnostic method to identify a leak in a three-way valve for a vehicle brake system having a remote master cylinder which includes the steps of: (1) providing a pedal simulator having pressure medium; (2) de-energizing a secondary three-way valve; (3) retracting a dual acting plunger to the home position to drop the pressure in the boost circuit to zero while also monitoring the pressure at the output of a fluid separator via a secondary master cylinder pressure sensor; (4) determining a rate of pressure reduction at the output of a fluid separator via a secondary master cylinder pressure sensor; and (5) identifying a leak in at least one of a primary three-way valve and the secondary three way valve if the rate of pressure reduction is equal to or higher than a pre-determined rate.

摘要： A brake line bleeding device including a main body with a cylinder and an extending stem. The cylinder is supported at a fixed location within the vehicle, such as upon the steering wheel. The stem is secured, at an end opposite the cylinder, to the brake pedal. A pressurized conduit extends from a source and is communicated to an input of a powered manifold mounted to the cylinder. A two position valve is integrated into the powered manifold and, upon receipt of an input signal, is actuated by a control mechanism within the manifold to switch between first and second outlet conduits extending from the manifold and in order to communicate the pressurized source to respective forward and rearward locations of the cylinder. In this fashion, pressurized fluid or airflow is alternatively communicated to opposite ends of the cylinder in order to reciprocally drive the stem in a bi-linear fashion relative to the housing, such as in order to successively pump the brake in a brake fluid servicing or bleeding operation.

摘要： A vehicle braking system includes a brake pedal, master cylinder, a braking circuit with a wheel cylinder, and a brake pressure generator. A pedal feel simulator is coupled to the master cylinder output side through a switchable valve, the pedal feel simulator providing a reaction force. An isolation valve closes to isolate the braking circuit from the master cylinder and the simulator circuit. A primary pressure sensor generates a braking request signal responsive to the brake pedal. A controller activates the brake pressure generator to apply a braking force to the wheel cylinder based on the braking request signal. The controller identifies an abnormal value from the primary pressure sensor and couples the pedal feel simulator with a secondary pressure sensor within the braking circuit to determine whether the abnormal value indicates a primary pressure sensor malfunction or a malfunction of the pedal feel simulator or the switchable simulator valve.

摘要： An automotive brake tester assembly including a housing with a force applying pedal attached thereto. A brake pedal contact member is slidably disposed in and extends from the housing. A floor board contact member is slidably disposed in and extends from the housing. Scales are disposed on a plate attached to the housing with the first scale indicating the amount of brake pedal travel and the second scale indicating the ratio of the distance between the pedal and floor board when the pedal is fully depressed and the distance between the brake pedal and the floor board when the brake pedal is in the non-depressed position. A first indicator means is connected to the pedal contact member and is movable along the first scale and a second indicator means is connected to the floor board contact member and is movable along the second scale. There is also included a flag connected to the pedal contact member and movable out through an opening in the housing when a predetermined force is being applied to a brake pedal, the predetermined force resulting from depression of a spring which reacts between the pedal contact member and the housing to urge the pedal contact member out of the housing.
