    • Provided is a vehicular refrigerating cycle comprising a compressor, which uses carbon dioxide refrigerant and which has a displacement control valve capable of controlling a displacement in response to an external signal. The vehicular refrigerating cycle comprises a falling-off preventing means for stopping a movement of the displacement control valve in a direction in which the displacement control valve comes out of its mounting position on the compressor, disposed at a portion which is positioned in the direction for the displacement control valve to come out of its mounting position on the compressor and positioned on this side of a position for the displacement control valve to completely fall off from the compressor. The displacement control valve can be prevented from exerting unpreferred influences upon the environment, even if the displacement control valve being mounted on the compressor should become so unfixed for some reason as could pop out of the compressor.

    • An air-conditioning system for a vehicle includes an electronic control unit which detects a collision of the vehicle and activates an air bag of the vehicle, and a circulation passage for a refrigerant or R152a. The system further includes a discharge device which discharges the refrigerant from the circulation passage in the engine room when the control unit outputs an air-bag activation signal. The discharge device includes an electromagnetic valve adapted to opened to discharge a refrigerant from the circulation passage in the engine room when the control unit outputs the signal.

    • The object of the present invention is to prevent refrigerant from flowing out into a vehicle compartment due to damage to an evaporator or piping associated therewith. A solenoid valve is arranged at an inlet of an evaporator, and a check valve is arranged at an outlet of the evaporator. When operation of a system is to be stopped, the solenoid valve is closed while a compressor is kept operating for a predetermined time to suck out refrigerant from the evaporator to a downstream side of the check valve, so that during stoppage of the operation, the check valve prevents the refrigerant from flowing back into the evaporator. Thus, even if the evaporator arranged in the vehicle compartment or piping associated therewith is damaged, a situation where a large amount of refrigerant flows out of the evaporator into the vehicle compartment does not occur because no refrigerant remains in the evaporator, making it possible to prevent occupants in the vehicle compartment from being put in a grave situation.
