摘要： Provided is a pneumatic tire with reduced cavity noise including a porous sound-absorbing material adhered by an adhesive agent layer to an inside surface of an inner liner disposed in a tread layer in the tire. The sound-absorbing material is continuously extended in a circumferential direction in the tire. The sound-absorbing material has an open cell on a surface thereof, a volume of the sound-absorbing material is 14% to 26% with respect to a total volume of the tire, and a maximum width of the sound-absorbing material is 35% to 60% with respect to a width of the tire tread and a surface area of the sound-absorbing material is 10% to 50% with respect to a surface area of the rim of a wheel on the surface of the inner liner to which the sound-absorbing material is adhered.

摘要： A method of selectively controlling the self-sealing ability of a tire obtained by application of a sealing assembly on a drum and subsequent formation thereon of a precursor of a green tire inclusive of liner and carcass, followed by shaping, curing and molding. The sealing assembly includes: a self-supporting thermoplastic film of polyamide or polyester and a layer of sealing material possessing viscoelasticity and stickiness features, which is associated with and supported by the self-supporting thermoplastic film. The sealing assembly is easily puncturable by a sharp-pointed element while it maintains such a deformability and stickiness that it helps in the transfer of the sealing material during ejection of the sharp-pointed element and limits the transferred material amount to such an extent that holes bigger than a predetermined value are not sealed.

The tire includes a thread, an inner surface lying opposite the thread, a self-sealing sealant and a sound-absorbing open-cell foam ring arranged inside the pneumatic vehicle tire. The self-sealing sealant has, at least immediately after being applied, a tackiness required for an adhesive attachment of the sound-absorbing open-cell foam ring. A closed-cell material ring is arranged between the sound-absorbing foam ring and the self-sealing sealant to prevent a diffusion of the sealant into the open-cell foam ring. The closed-cell material ring effects an airtight condition.

The present application can supply gas to keep a desired pressure in the gas-chambers whenever necessary to maintain a pressure balance in the entire circumference of the tire, in order to keep stability when driving, to resist being punctured and stabbed. Therefore, the tire has a great safety performance and a long service life.

摘要： An elastomer composition having a self-sealing property includes: a blend of at least two solid elastomers, in which “elastomer A” is a polybutadiene or butadiene copolymer elastomer, in which “elastomer B” is a natural rubber or synthetic polyisoprene elastomer, and in which an elastomer A:elastomer B weight ratio is within a range from 10:90 to 90:10; between 30 and 90 phr of a hydrocarbon resin, with phr meaning parts by weight per 100 parts of solid elastomer; and from 0 to less than 120 phr of filler, which includes from 0 to less than 30 phr of reinforcing filler. The composition may be used to form a puncture-resistant layer in an inflatable article, such as a tire. The puncture-resistant layer may be used in combination with an airtight layer to form an airtight and puncture-resistant laminate for the inflatable article.
