    • A bound document includes a plurality of sheets having a length. An outer cover sheet has a length less than twice the length of the sheets in the plurality of sheets, and has a selected edge. A cover image is printed on the outer cover sheet. An inner cover sheet has first and second sides separated by an alignment curve. The first side has a first portion on which an additional image is printed and a second portion over which adhesive is disposed. A binder clip binds the inner cover sheet and the plurality of sheets so that the second side of the inner cover sheet faces the plurality of sheets. The outer cover sheet is affixed by the adhesive to the inner cover sheet so that the selected edge aligns with the alignment curve.

    • In order to provide more secure binding of physical media, activation and deactivation mechanisms for media binders are presented. As such, internal spine clamp deactivation mechanisms for deactivating a spine clamp in a media binder are presented, the mechanism including: a tension sheet configured to operate the spine clamp in response to opening the media binder in a range of approximately 270 to 360 degrees (°), normally, greater than approximately 270°; a tear line disposed along the tension sheet and oriented along the spine clamp wherein when the tension sheet is torn at the tear line, the spine clamp is deactivated. In some embodiments, the mechanism further includes a cosmetic sheet disposed between the tension sheet and a cover of the media binder for providing a cover for the spine clamp such that when the tension sheet is torn, the spine clamp remains covered.

    • The present invention provides for an easy to manufacture, one piece design for securing and protecting a report. The one piece report cover utilizes a flat support panel upon which the report rests. A rigid angular retaining clip protrudes substantially perpendicularly from one edge of the support panel and then angles back towards the flat surface of the support panel. The angular retaining clip secures the report in place against the flat support panel. The support panel can be formed with specific dimensions to accommodate and support a report consisting of standard 8.5null by 11null pages, legal size pages, or A4 size pages. The single piece design of the present invention may utilize a single piece of polystyrene or any other suitable material. Additionally, some embodiments of the present invention utilize a file hanger at each end of the angular retaining clip for use of the report cover as a hanging file.

    • A binding device for crimping or deforming a U-shaped channel around a plurality of sheets of paper comprises a stationary crimping bar and a rotatable crimping bar rotatable coupled above the stationary crimping bar. The rotatable crimping bar has coupled thereto a first weight member fixedly coupled in the center thereof wherein the first weight serves to provided a centralized force of gravitational pull to urge the rotatable crimping bar toward a crimping position. The stationary crimping bar has coupled thereto a second weight member fixedly coupled in the center thereof wherein the second weight member provides a centralized force of gravitational pull for stability.

    • A clip binder for holding paper which does not require damaging the material to be held within the clips. The clip binder has a front cover, a binder spine, a back cover and a pair of clips mounted on each end of the binder spine. The clips have a clip spine and two retainer walls which together define the jaws within which the paper is inserted. The clips are positioned perpendicularly to the binder spine such that the jaws face each other and are at right angles to the binder spine. The height of the retainer walls are constructed low so that the papers can be easily leafed through and without and fold back problems. In an alternative embodiment, the clips are slidably mounted to the binder spine. In yet another embodiment, the clips are rotatably mounted to the binder spine.

    • A method and apparatus for binding books wherein a stack of pages are collated and aligned together. This stack is covered, top and bottom, with end pages which now comprise the first and last pages of the stack. Each end page includes a self-adhesive or sticky-back surface that is temporarily covered with a protective sheet. This stack is inserted within a clasp that is subsequently crimped, thereby securely binding the stack together. The crimped stack is then placed within an outer case or covering whereupon the protective sheet is removed and adhesive is exposed and applied to the case in order to secure or bind the pages to the case. Final compression of the case insures proper adhesion.
