摘要： A flexible plastic spouted container for holding flowable material and method of making. The container has a front and rear face and gussets that extend inwardly toward the longitudinal axis of the body. A spout is heat sealed into the front face adjacent the top. Handles are sealed top and bottom. Heat seals on the outer folds of the gussets extend from top to bottom with the heat seals extending further inwardly at the top portion than at the bottom portion. The heat seals are shaped to enable seal creep. Tye seals formed at the top sides of the container adjacent the spout seal the front face and rear face together with a portion of the gusset therebetween.

摘要： A method of manufacturing an SOS bag of indefinite length is disclosed including, as a preliminary step, providing a gusseted tube of indefinite length. In a series of steps, the gusseted tube may be folded inwardly at its base to create front and rear flaps that are then folded about fold lines to create a folded bottom gusseted tube. A rectangular patch may then be applied thereto in a series of steps, including for example hot air welding and/or ultrasonic welding, to complete an embodiment of a bag of the disclosure, one having a unique bottom for an SOS bag. The disclosure additionally includes bags manufactured by the method disclosed herein, as well as SOS bags having the unique construction disclosed herein.

摘要： Feedstock is delivered perpendicular to the line of applied glue in an automated gluing machine, thereby simplifying operation and better accommodating other in-line factory or assembly processes. The machine comprises an input nip for receiving the head end and the tail end of a sheet stock in overlapping registration, with the tail end being longer than the head end. A clamp mechanism holds the overlapping sheet stock in position while a glue applicator applies glue to one side of the tail end. An output nip holds the glued side of the tail end against the head end, and apparatus is provided for ejecting the sheet stock once the tail end has been glued to the head end. The glued stock may be ejected back toward the operator or away from the operator and through the machine, enabling the machine to be placed in-line with other machines for a continuous directional or linear flow.
