    • A conveying screw member for a plastic granule cutting and transporting mechanism includes a plastic granule collector, a heating conduit, a conveying screw, a plastic granule molding structure and a power transmission device. The plastic granule collector is a hollow cylinder which has an outlet being positioned thereon. The heating conduit is a longitudinal hollow tube which has a round hole being respectively positioned at both ends. The conveying screw member which has the conveying screw being set thereon, and the reversing screws and two supporting bases being respectively set at both ends is installed in the heating conduit. The plastic granule molding structure is equipped near the edge of the end of the heating conduit. The power transmission device is installed near the plastic granule collector and attached to the supporting base of one end of the conveying screw member.

    • A system for supplying processed material includes a barrel for transporting the processed material, having a chamber and an electrically conductive wall enclosing the chamber. The barrel has a length and an outer surface. Thermal insulation extends along at least a portion of the length and around the outer surface and provides an exterior surface whose contour is uniform and formed without grooves. A coil comprising an electric conductor is encased in an electrical insulating sheath. The coil contacts and encircles the exterior surface in loops forming an induction winding that extends along at least a portion of the length and around the exterior surface in a spiral path. An induction power supply is used for supplying alternating current to the coil at a relatively high frequency.

    • The invention is a method for operating an extruder temperature controller. The method can include sensing an actual screw speed for an extruder screw in an extruder barrel. The extruder barrel has at least one heat exchange means. The method can then involve indexing and storing a plurality of screw speeds. Each of the stored screw speeds corresponds to a temperature reset value. Comparing the actual screw speed with each of the stored screw speeds can then be performed. Selecting one of the stored screw speeds can then occur. The selected screw speed is a member of the plurality of stored screw speeds having a value most arithmetically equivalent to the actual screw speed. The step of selecting retrieves the temperature reset value corresponding to the selected, stored screw speed. Generating a control output driver signal to the heat exchange means can occur. The control output driver signal is responsive to the retrieved temperature reset value. The invention includes delaying a control alarm for a predetermined time when generating a control output driver signal to the heat exchange means is at or near maximum capacity.
