    • The invention relates to a device for separating insulating materials which were obtained in a continuous production process and are made of mineral wool in determinable lengths, comprising the following features: a) the separation of the material is carried out by means of two separately driven circular saw blades (6) which are suspended like a pendulum; b) the position of the suspension (1) and the drive (2) of the saw blades (6) can be adjusted by means of a carriage (4) in the direction of supply of the material; c) the drive of the carriage (3), the drive of the saw blades (2), the drive of the pendular units (14) and the driving action of the conveyor belt (15) are provided by servomotors; d) a deflection unit (12) causes the lowering of the conveyor belt (15) in the respective area of the saw blades (6); e) the process of material separation is automatically controlled in accordance with the cutting performance of the separating means and the advancement speed of the material supply. The invention also relates to an associated method and a machine-readable support provided with the program code.

    • A portable sawmill with bi-directional cutting circular saws includes a saw support pivotally mounted to a primary support structure for pivotal movement about a pivot axis which is transverse to the direction of movement. Two circular saws are rotatably mounted one above the other on the saw support. A first one of the two circular saws rotates in a first rotational direction and a second one of the two circular saws rotates in a second rotational direction. The teeth on both of the two circular saws are always moving toward a log resting on the log support as the log is being cut. An actuator is provided for selectively pivoting the saw support to invert the positioning of the two circular saws so that the teeth on both of the two circular saws continue to move toward the log being cut upon a change in direction occurring.

    • An embodiment of the present invention is directed to a riving knife assembly for a dual bevel table saw, comprising: a first armature configured for coupling with a beveling member; a second armature adjustably and rotatably coupled with the first armature; a first mounting member coupled with the second armature; a first riving bracket coupled with the second armature and configured for adjustably coupling with a bearing retaining nut of a dual arbor assembly; a second riving bracket coupled with the first mounting member and configured for adjustably coupling with the inside of a first bore of a first height bracket; a quick release handle disposed upon the first mounting member; an eccentric shaft coupled with the quick release handle; a locking pin having a locking pin body, a second mounting member, a head member coupled with a sheathing member, and a spring loaded assembly, the locking pin operationally coupled with the eccentric shaft; and, a riving knife configured with an engagement assembly for engaging with the locking pin; wherein the spring loaded assembly enables the head member and a circular engagement member disposed on the locking pin body proximal to the head member of the locking pin to be set in a locked position and a release position relative to the second mounting member, the sheathing member and the riving knife; wherein the locked and release positions are established by manipulation of the quick release handle.

    • A machine for cutting a tube having a frame encompassing the tube on which supports are conducted and moveable in two vertically stacked axial directions on a plane running at a right angle to the tube longitudinal axis. At least two supports are driven exclusively in a single axial direction during the cutting process. A cutting head is mounted on each support, each cutting head having a disk milling cutter attached thereto. The disk milling cutters, which are rotary driven on a common cutting plane, simultaneously cut through the tube as the result of controlled movement of the supports in their axial directions. The disk milling cutters, moving in the same direction relative to the circumference of the tube, i.e. clockwise or counter-clockwise, simultaneously cut a section of the wall cross-sectional area of the tube. The machine also has clamping devices arranged in the vicinity of the disk milling cutters to secure the tube in place during the cutting process.
