摘要： A powder production method includes providing at least one elongated member including a ductile material; providing a rotating or vibrating cutter configured to repeatedly cut an end of the at least one elongated member to produce particles; and advancing the at least one elongated member or the cutter towards the other of the at least one elongated member or the cutter to cut the particles from the at least one elongated member to produce a powder comprising a plurality of the particles. The particles produced by the method can have a diameter ranging from about 10 μm to about 200 μm.

The paste is formed from this powder dispersed in a binder such as grease. The powder or paste is particularity useful for improving the conductivity of an electrical connection consisting of a terminal (20) linked to a cable (24) consisting of a plurality of strands (30, 32, 34) by means of a crimping ring (26).

摘要： The iron-based rare-earth nanocomposite magnet of the present invention has a composition T100-x-y-z-nQxRyTizMn, where T is Fe or a transition metal element in which Fe is partially replaced by Co and/or Ni; Q is B and/or C; R is at least one rare-earth element including substantially no La or Ce; and M is at least one metal element selected from Al, Si, V, Cr, Mn, Cu, Zn, Ga, Zr, Nb, Mo, Ag, Hf, Ta, W, Pt, Au and Pb. x, y, z and n satisfy 5≦x≦10 at %, 7≦y≦10 at %, 0.1≦z≦5 at % and 0≦n≦10 at %, respectively. The magnet includes R2Fe14B-type compound phases and α —Fe phases forming a magnetically coupled nanocomposite magnet structure. The R2Fe14B-type compound phases have an average crystal grain size of 30 nm to 300 nm and the α —Fe phases have an average crystal grain size of 1 nm to 20 nm. The magnet has magnetic properties including a coercivity of at least 400 kA/m and a remanence of at least 0.9 T.

摘要： The present invention relates to a mechanical process for granulating and cold manufacturing of spherical particles of aluminum and transformation of turnings, chips “UBC” utility beverage cans and aluminum cans into finished products intended for the use into aluminothermy, remelt or foundry. The new process of granulation requires a first equipment for pressing, followed by an equipment for shredding, followed by a granulating equipment for the realization of transformation of raw product into granular spherical finished product. Use of presses, choppers, granulators, separators, cyclones integrated in the process, allows to sort and decontaminate by-products, with possible recycling for later use, among which the recasting, aluminothermy and the recovery of many substances entering in the manufacture of a multitude of products used in industry.

摘要： A product in which at least a portion of the product has a nanocrystalline microstructure, and a method of forming the product. The method generally entails machining a body in a manner that produces chips consisting entirely of nano-crystals as a result of the machining operation imposing a sufficiently large strain deformation. The body can be formed of a variety of materials, including metal, metal alloy and ceramic materials. Furthermore, the body may have a microstructure that is essentially free of nano-crystals, and may even have a single-crystal microstructure. The chips produced by the machining operation may be in the form of particulates, ribbons, wires, filaments and/or platelets. The chips are then used to form the product. According to one aspect of the invention, the chips are consolidated to form the product, such that the product is a monolithic material that may contain nano-crystals. According to another aspect of the invention, the chips are dispersed in a matrix material, such that the product is a composite material in which the chips serve as a reinforcement material.

摘要： An object of the present invention is to provide a method of producing an Ag—ZnO electric contact material which can uniformly disperse ZnO micrograms in Ag; which maintains low contact resistance; which exhibits enhanced welding resistance and wear resistance; and which is suitable in view of production costs. The method of producing an Ag—ZnO electrical contact material comprises casting Ag and Zn at predetermined proportions and subjecting the resultant Ag—ZnO alloy to internal oxidation so as to disperse ZnO in Ag, the method being characterized in that an Ag—Zn alloy comprising 5-10 wt. % (as reduced to weight of metal) Zn, the balance being Ag, is formed into chips; the chips are subjected to internal oxidation; the internally oxidized chips are compacted to thereby form billets; the billets are pressed and sintered; and subsequently, the sintered billets are extruded, to thereby yield uniform dispersion, in Ag, of ZnO micrograms.
