摘要： An apparatus for filtering water has an interface and a filtration/purification canister removably mountable onto the interface. Connecting the canister to the interface automatically opens a check valve in the interface to permit water to flow from the interface into and through the canister, and then back to and through the interface to an outlet port. Disconnecting the canister from the interface automatically closes the check valve, stopping the flow of water. The interface provides for water boiler expansion pressure relief, while guarding against any water contaminated downstream of the apparatus from backflowing into the filtration/purification canister and contaminating the portion of the filtration/purification canister downstream of the filter/conditioning/purifying medium held within the filtration/purification canister and thereby causing water exiting the outlet port of the filtration/purification canister to be contaminated.

The invention suggests arranging a collection device (17) within the sieve element for collecting the liquid and/or floating material, in which case the collection device (17) is attached to a pumping-out device (20) for the liquid and/or the floating material. Another object of the invention is a process for removing floating material from a liquid, especially from sewage (2), in which case a sieve device is used that contains at least one sieve element that can be shaped like a filter basket (4), for example, and is equipped with a drive so it can rotate around a rotating axis. 摘要： A method of supplying a processing solution includes shutting off a feed line supplying the processing solution to a chemical filter, installing a dry chemical filter in a filter housing of the chemical filter, closing an output line from the filter housing to a nozzle configured to dispense the processing solution (either before or after installing the dry chemical filter), applying a vacuum to the filter housing while the feed line remains shut, and opening the feed line while locking in the vacuum within the filter housing. Shutting off the feed line and closing the output line may be accomplished by closing respective valves. Before installing the dry filter, a valve to the vacuum may be closed. The method may be performed by a processor executing a program stored in a non-transitory computer-readable medium.

The first sub-chamber is at least partially bounded by a wall and has extending from it a water input guide configured and arranged to direct water toward a portion of the wall of the first sub-chamber. The second sub-chamber is open to the first sub-chamber and configured to accept a filter. The second sub-chamber is open to a conduit configured for the carriage of water from the second sub-chamber to an output port of the water collection tank. In use a filter disposed in the second sub-chamber preferentially filters water from the first sub-chamber such filtered water being deflected by the wall of the second sub-chamber to fall into the water collection chamber while the debris laden waste water falls out the lower part of the filter into the conduit.

A cap is removably fitted on the neck to close the top opening. A ledge can be on an interior surface of the bottle below the top edge. A filter assembly is supported in the bottle and can be suspended on the ledge. The bottle can have an annular formation in the side wall below the neck to prevent the neck from deforming when the bottle is squeezed. The side wall can have a pair of squeezable sides and a pair of opposed stiff sides below the annular formation, whereby the stiff sides help the bottle to rebound quickly after each squeeze.
