摘要： A system and method are provided for conducting a lottery game in conjunction with a televised game show and a play-at-home version of the televised game show. A primary lottery game is established wherein players purchase lottery tickets having a unique web code assigned thereto. Players of the primary lottery game become eligible to be contestants in the televised game show by satisfying a condition of the primary lottery game. During broadcast of the televised game show, an access code is provided to at-home viewers of the show who are also players of the primary lottery game. The access code enables the at-home viewers to access a website, enter the web code from their lottery ticket, enter the access code broadcast with the televised game show, and play a web-based game to win a prize award.

摘要： A system and related method for conducting a lottery game having a televised bonus game component calls for establishing a primary lottery game wherein players are issued lottery tickets. The primary lottery game has a bonus game component and the lottery tickets have a bonus game symbol thereon. For entry into the bonus game, the players are required to collect a predefined set of the bonus game symbols. Periodically, a bonus game drawing is conducted such that at least one of the players entered in the drawing is selected as a winner in each bonus game drawing and becomes eligible for further participation in the bonus game. The bonus game component is coordinated with a televised game show so that contestants in the televised game show are the selected winners from the bonus game drawings. A prize is awarded to winning contestants who competed in the televised game show.

摘要： A system having a radio-frequency-identification (RFID) tag reader and a camera to map playing cards to RFID tag values. Each card is inserted into a sleeve that has an RFID tag. During or after insertion of a card into a sleeve, the camera captures an image of the card and the RFID reader captures an RFID tag value for the sleeve. The identity of the card is then determined from the captured image and mapped to the RFID tag value. This mapping information is generated for each card-sleeve pair in a card deck and utilized to track the movement of the cards during game play. The RFID tag value of each card-sleeve pair in the card deck is captured before and after a player draws a card from the deck. The missing RFID tag values are compared to the mapping information to identify which cards where drawn by the player.

Yet another embodiment of game play provides for the repurposing of an existing taped game show. The previously recorded game show would be segmented into subsets of issues, for example, presentation of questions or answers (as in the case of Jeopardy), those issues would be presented to one or more players, a response would be received from those players, and the answer would be compared to the correct answer. Scoring would then rank players relative to one another or to indicate the amount of the prize.
