    • Disclosed is a stencil for bingo game boards. The stencil includes a front and rear side and a plurality of cutouts therethrough. The cutouts on the stencil form various bingo formations that are commonly played. The rear side of the stencil includes a pocket that is adapted to hold a bingo game board therein. The pocket is constructed to hold the bingo game board securely, thereby eliminating the need for additional fasteners. In use, a bingo game board is placed behind the stencil and inserted into the pocket so that the numbers disposed on the board are shown through the cutouts. The stencil allows users to see the numbers that are shown through the cutouts while blocking the rest of the numbers from view. In this way, the present invention assists users in identifying numbers on a bingo game board that form a winning bingo formation.

    • This invention relates to interlocking rectangular and triangular tiles for use in tessellating a plane, teaching certain aspects of geometry and trigonometry, and creating decorative objects. The tiles comprising the invention, some with a design on them, tessellate the plane with periodic and non-periodic patterns based on the design as the basic unit of repetition. In particular; the tiles can be assembled to create any of the 17 possible plane periodic patterns. The tiles of the present invention can be used as a teaching tool for a partially structured exploration of plane periodic patterns, and for learning the mathematical notation for these patterns. They can also be used for teaching basic geometry to younger children through exploratory play. This invention can also be used as a stencil assembly, so that the patterns created can be transferred to a plane surface and used as decorations.

    • A method of playing a pattern forming game for two or more players. The method comprises the steps of obtaining a hexagonal playing surface divided into a plurality of triangular spaces, the triangular spaces being arranged so as to form a plurality of overlapping star shaped patterns arid a plurality of sets of parallel rows of triangular spaces; obtaining a plurality of triangular game pieces, each of the game pieces being sized so as to substantially cover a triangular space on the playing surface when placed thereover; assigning each player the game pieces of a particular color which is distinct from the color of game pieces assigned to an opponent; determining a sequential playing order to be followed by the players in turn; sequentially performing player turns according to the player order, each player turn comprising the steps of placing at least one of his/her game pieces over a space on the playing surface and replacing an opponent's game piece associated with an adjacent space, with a game piece of the player performing the turn; and calculating each player's game score based upon an extent of coverage of a player's game pieces over each of the star-shaped and row-shaped patterns on the playing surface.
