    • A game device in which the game of golf can be authentically simulated includes a game board or boards having holes of a simulated golf course depicted thereon and over which at least one game token can be moved and placed at a specific lie as determined by a movement indicator, such as the number of top spots and the location of certain dice of one or more dice thrown from a throwing cup and onto a grid layout on the game board. A distance and deviation measuring device is placed on the game board with one end thereof in engagement with the game token and having one tool or portion positioned to designate an intended path of travel and a second tool or portion movable relative to the intended path for measuring the actual travel as determined by the movement indicator, such as the number of top spots and location of the dice thrown onto the grid layout on the game board. An instruction selector, such as a deck of cards each containing instructions for placement of the game token are placed in random order for removal of the top card by a player for each lie of the game token in one of a plurality of in the rough areas of the simulated golf course.

    • A game device providing simulation of air warfare between nations in which strategic-tactical maneuvers and stratagems occurring in actual air combat are used to obtain victory over an opponent. The game device includes a game board in the form of a map having irregularly shaped, discrete areas delineated thereon by perimeter lines and certain of the areas are distinguishable by color with such areas including those areas normally found on maps, such as cities, mountain areas, and the like. Positionable on these areas of the game board and movable thereon are a plurality of simulated jet aircraft and supporting platforms therefor with the platforms being provided in groups of distinguishable colors indicating flight altitude of the jet aircraft supported by that particular platform. In determining the results of various plays, a measuring device, designated a missile vector, is employed to indicate the results of the maneuvers during each player's turn in accordance with predetermined rules of play.

    • A whirling toy includes a weighted object such as a small bag filled with sand attached to one end of a string. Advantageously, streamers or other means are used to stabilize the toy while it is whirled prior to release into an upward trajectory. A target pattern or tape measure is used to determine the distance of the toy, after it has fallen to the ground, from the point of release. The toy may optionally be provided with means for producing an audible sound when the whirling toy velocity reaches a preselected threshold value. Such audible sound assures, if the toy is played competitively between two or more players, that all players have the same advantage since they all release the toy when it produces the audible sound and, therefore, reaches the preselected threshold velocity.
